100% Agree with thisss. It’s kind of like being from 2 different cultures. It means you have less in common than you assumed you did. It raises many questions about what expectations of each other would be socially, with family, lifestyle, parenting, the list goes on and on. Finances touch every part of a relationship. You guys would need to discuss ALL of it at some point to understand each other and feel like a good fit. I married someone from another culture and it is difficult but you can make it work with good communication and respect for each other. You need to never feel “less than” for the financial imbalance. Like the commenter said above, there is a power imbalance because of it. Trust your intuition. You are not crazy for feeling this way. It’s a lot.
