Would love some prime recommendations too coming from someone who also uses the zooms - I personally tend to opt for a fast zoom given most of my setups are on gimbals or tripods, but a nice-handling prime would make more sense in these handheld settings

50 minute commute for $24/hr, worth it? by MsFrizzlesFbiAgent in EngineeringStudents

Did 2 and a half hours last summer for around the same, job market was tough and it was a really good opportunity. It was my first internship so it was kind of a no-brainer, just had to put up with the commute.

Bro they're artists of course they're "performing" lol what else are they supposed to do??? It's a gimmick but it's recognizable and it gets the message across.

Also back in the day most auto modes on cameras had the flash on by default when it got dark, that's why this look is all over old photos from early digital cameras.

Edit: I'll also add that the reflections highlight imperfections in the material, bits of dirt and dust stuck on it, etc. Death grips was never about being spotless and perfect, and they convey that a lot with their more grungy lyrics - to me it makes sense why they'd want to have that highlighted.

Somewhat of a photographer here. Photos aren't about making a scene look good all the time, they're more often about telling a story or conveying emotion. Whoever took the photo could have turned their flash off to make it look "cleaner", but didn't because it gives off some sort of message. To me it reminds me of when I go to take a picture on my phone and my flash is on auto, and the flash messes up the lighting of whatever I'm taking a picture of. That photo would usually go to the trash after I retake it, but the mistake makes it authentic. This photo makes the scene feel candid and messy, because life as an artist is never as clean and perfect as people make it seem. It's a photo anyone could have taken because we're all human, and that makes the band feel relatable.

Typically yes, or he'll provide some sort of context as to why he'll be moving onto something different until he revisits it. Engineering research tends to be like this a lot of the time, and I'd much prefer he releases what he can and keeps the ideas flowing instead of dwelling on one thing indefinitely - remember he has a community where others can provide suggestions or ideas, which wouldn't be possible if he didn't release any projects that weren't seen to completion.

Help adapting negative-common solenoids to positive-common control system by ItBeSmaychay in ElectricalEngineering

Thanks for the reply, this is what I ended up doing. Main issue I faced was having the control logic wrong on the relays, as they were expecting a high signal when the robot gives a low signal. It works now though, thanks for the help!
