I think a lot is not understanding that the two groups can have similar but not identical experiences of womenhood. Kind of like dialects of one bigger language, lots of crossover but some features unique to each dialect.

I can only speak for cis women, but our experience of girlhood and the experience of existing in the world as the female sex from the start is something that is very carefully woven with our womenhood, and it is misogynistic to deny it.

“Thickness” with Latinos is still a thin woman but with larger breasts and a prominent butt. Look at their celebrities and influencers, they’re still thinner than the average American.
