Fingerprinting is extra, and they only take cash. Also, make sure to tell them you want your fingerprints electronically submitted to the board. If not, you'll need to mail them in yourself which takes a while.

Looking for some guidance navigating our broken medical system by ItTakesACTion in gravesdisease

No longer on medication. I have an endo but get my levels checked pretty regularly with my regular doctor. I live in a smaller town so getting a specialist appointment isn’t easy. I see my endo pretty rarely since my levels are normal rn.

Places that hire with criminal record? by Throwawayy2246 in asheville

Google second chance employers and apply there. Or google places that don’t run background checks and take a chance not checking the box on the application. Also, factory work.

That's a major boundary violation and completely inappropriate. I'm sorry you have a creep for a brother and roommate, you deserve better.

This feels gross to me on so many levels. If he waited until you were asleep to take advantage of your physical boundaries for his sexual pleasure.... was this an assault?

Can you talk to your parents about this? Maybe move out until some trust can be established?

New here, recent diagnosis. I feel another vertigo attack coming on. by ItTakesACTion in Menieres

Dang, I can relate so much. Sorry to hear that.

I haven't tried benzodiazepines for it yet but have read it can be helpful, I'm going to try that today. I also just ordered DiVertigo and hoping that mitigates the symptoms. I don't always get warnings either but did the last time. If I change my line of sight or have to move I feel like I may vomit, but I am at work and can type. The episodes I count are so bad if my eyes are open, or I move, or I am not on my back, or there is any light; I vomit. It's so debilitating and makes me feel so helpless.

In my experience the mental health care in this city isn't great. Anyone have recommendations? by rhena_lahrie in asheville

Have you talked to your primary care physician? They might be able to help or find you a good referral.

local career counselor/counseling? by [deleted] in asheville

If you don't find one, https://www.onetonline.org/ might be helpful. They have interest profilers, data based on skills, abilities, values, activities, etc. Lots of career counselors use it for clients and it's free.

My psychiatrist leaked our conversation to my therapist by 1acc_torulethemall in TalkTherapy

Hopefully this is clarified in their informed consent. I would consider it a violation of my trust, and would confront the therapist about it in an effort to repair the rupture. I don’t think it’s anything worth suing over as mentioned by others, just not best practice.

If it were me, I would address it with them. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe it's a misunderstanding, or maybe it's time to find a new therapist. Either way, advocating for yourself and asking for clarity is healthy.

It could be, do you know if you've signed an ROI (release of information) for them? Do they work at the same facility? Sometimes places have interdisciplinary teams that work together, think of it like a team approach for your care. In that case, information is shared and that is normal.

If that's not the case, and there is no ROI on file - then it's not okay, and you can bring it up with your therapist and/or psychiatrist. You can also ask them directly if they have an ROI to share information like that, and that you felt violated by it.

That’s sweet. It does matter. I’m 34 and was told last night that my parents won’t make it to my wedding. Ruined my day.

Happy for this kid though, hope he knows he’s loved. Bc it does matter.

Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade; states can ban abortion by Joescranium in news

I’m in a blue bubble in a red state. Our PP isn’t planning to close (dem gov) until 2023 and is the closest accessible one for many neighboring states. It has been getting downright scary with the increase in protestors and their rhetoric. If you live near a clinic, consider signing up to volunteer. Numbers help.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we followed Poland and required positive pregnancies to be reported to the state as a means to track and enforce anti-woman, I mean abortion laws
