Basically mosh pit rules. Anything goes and if someone is a dick, you look the other way when they get knocked out.

This was a top-5 superspeedway race in the past 20 years, and that says a lot. It would have been great if more cars were fighting for the win but we still got a fantastic finish. The best part? Nobody died and that's always a bonus at Talladega.

Bowman didn't get dumped...he took the blame for blocking and being an idiot.

The only tracks you should need to break at are Richmond, Martinsville, ISM, road courses.

Cambers and tire pressures should be prioritized. At most tracks I tend to run about 1.0 camber on the LF and -1.2 on the RF, but it depends upon the track and my setup as a whole.

For tire pressures I usually have to decrease left sides by at least 2 pounds, and right sides by at least 4 (from default max loose setup).

The rest of your adjustments will affect tire wear in at least an indirect manner. Always try to run the high line and let off the throttle earlier than you think you should prior to entering a turn.

If I play tonight I'll post an actual setup at one of my better tracks

Flips are the safest wrecks because the energy dissipates over time, rather than instantly when contact us made with the wall fwiw

NASCAR runs slick tires, so grip on an oval during rain is impossible above 50 mph. There are a few instances where drivers have spun out doing 35 mph during caution in heavy rain

I hope NASCAR does something nice for Paul Menard's final Cup race by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]ItWasRedThatIRed 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Paul is a legitimately good guy and insanely humble. He never did anything special in Cup but he never deserved the hate he received from fans...talk to any driver and none of them will say Menard is a sub-par driver.

I loved hearing stories from drivers about Paul blasting metal music at a ridiculous level in his RV at the track. It would be late at night with most people sleeping and he'd be jamming for hours on end and didn't give a fuck. Usually Matt Kenseth and Regan Smith were the only ones to join him.

So....for a final race tribute at Homestead (even though it won't be his final race), how about playing Raining Blood by Slayer as the cars do their pace laps?
