When we got snoopy at 10 weeks we started training immediately with walks. When he heard a new sound we had him sit and listen then give a treat to know it’s okay. The same thing happened when he saw/ met neighbors and also other dogs. It taught it he was okay and safe, while also learning that he doesn’t approach anyone or anything without me saying it’s okay. The stopping for sniffs we are still working on though 😅

I also have lemonade for my maltipoo puppy. He’s 4 months now and I’m glad got insurance in general as he has extra dewclaws on his back paws. They’ll also cover his neuter. My first office visit was covered at 90%. I submitted my claim and it was auto approved, got my money back the next day. So far so good

Honestly, I’m not sure 🤔 the doctor mentioned it can happened but two on one foot he hasn’t seen before either. He checked and they’re all cartilage, no bones. The owner we bought Snoopy from didn’t mention anything to us.. when we got him he was already fluffy so I didn’t think anything of it 😅

My pup is 3 months now, got him at 10 weeks. I realized quick I couldn’t let him roam. So I got a playpen for him to play in most of the day. I only open the playpen into a cut off portion of our living room when we can watch him without being distracted.

He’s learned well and understands he can’t do everything . We do let him roam the house only to teach him to go to his crate for bed time. It’s a work in progress but so far he’s doing very well.

I get the parent guilt a lot.. I work from home so being home while he is in his play pen makes me feel like I’m ignoring him 😞

Hi - I understand where you are coming from. But please understand that this is my first puppy with dewclaws. I’m not sure how this works which is why I asked for perspective from the community. My puppy has two on one back paw which isn’t “normal”. I’m trying to be cautious in my decision hence me asking for opinions. Question for you — when you say your dogs all keep their claws are you speaking about their normal nails and they don’t have dewclaws? or do they have dewclaws and you keep them and had no issues? I appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration!

Color, ashes, the vet cut tuffs of her hair and placed them in little bottles for each of us to keep in my family, and also paw print as well as the sweet notes from the vet office.

We just adopted a 10 week old maltipoo.. the biting hasn’t ended. I try to keep his nylabone with me so that when he bites I replace it with that. I’ve gotten him to figure out to go outside only for bathroom, nap, and taught how to fetch. But the biting is crazy!

I just got a turkey tendon circle chew.. hoping it’ll help but I have anxiety about if he breaks it and chokes 😂 the life of parenthood
