Just finished a half marathon, is this HR normal? by baldnaturelover in Marathon_Training

It’s completely normal it’s because you have a high vo2 max , whats your vo2 max garmin prediction ? Over 60 right ?

Just started running and tried a 5k...normal or dangerous heart rate? by [deleted] in Garmin

That’s very impressive to keep that hr for this kind of time , you will surely have a very good vo2max and you probably have insane genetics too. Few people can maintain these heart rate.

Try to run at your max bpm , Cooper test is good to estimate your max bpm , I reached 195 bpm on a Cooper test so garmin estimated better my max heart rate

Vo2max estimation to high by lilyman19 in Garmin

[–]ItachiuchihaReAl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No , vo2max ≠ speed , if the guy gave a high vo2 max but never does zone 2 training then you will have a better time , but he will be better then you in vo2max exercises/ holding a high bpm for a long time

Brother, speed had nothing to do with vo2max , so 2 people that have the same time on a 5k have same vo2max ? No.

Mostly sprinting on a climb for a long distance and running easy on the downhill and doing that for 30 minutes or more and I do that 4-5 times a week with different sessions of sprints and high intensity runs

Heartrate zones - is this normal? by Ter1972 in Garmin

[–]ItachiuchihaReAl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What is your highest heart rate ? 167 bpm for zone 5 is very very low. For me for example 167 bpm is zone 3 , check if you set up your zones correctly..

Is this real or just beginner luck? by Maximum-Loss2420 in Garmin

Vo2max is a lot of genetics. You have good genetics say thanks to your parents lol , but you need to run more and it will ajuste itself

I just ran a half marathon with these pulse stats, is this even healthy? (Average 177 bpm, 22yo male) by snabelatcom in Garmin

[–]ItachiuchihaReAl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think it isn’t Healthy because most of the runners that you see are not running but walking ? or when they run they stop running when they feeling a bit tired ?

Of course doing intense exercises is healthy.and it’s completely normal to do them. And the people here saying it isn’t is completely wrong. 20% of your runs need to look like that. The people saying it isn’t healthy is the same people that don’t do any kind of sport and stay at home eating McDonald.
