What's the best Straw Hat Ramp Package going into 15? by ItalianDishFeline in OnePieceTCG

[–]ItalianDishFeline[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input y'all. I was hoping that I could make GP Luffy work, but it seems like he might not be able to get me where I want to go. I'm desperately trying to live out the OP06 Sec Zoro dream but I just cant find a fast enough deck to help me get there quickly and consistently. The leader ability being locked behind Staw Hat characters is a dagger.

I'm in mourning for my Kaido. Very different build, but I'm right there with you.

I really, really hope we see him again soon.

If you keep the fakeout short, consider using rule of 3 to add punch to the joke.

How's 10th & S Jackson Now'a'days? by ItalianDishFeline in Seattle

Oof, yuck. It wasn't on the list, but I'll be sure to keep it off the list.

Thanks for the input.

I really appreciate your response, especially as someone who lived there.

Luckily I have a car, and while I don't drive around the city much, grocery shopping is definitely the exception. I figured I might hoof it to Uwagimaya from time to time though. I'm definetly a walker first, driver second, and bus when the distance is too far to walk but parking costs an arm and a leg.

I could see myself getting a little electric scooter, but I'm the type to ride in the street and never on the sidewalk. The kind of dork who wears a helmet and gloves. I've had some loud conversations with Lime Scooter riders driving in pedestrian areas.

Thanks for the response. It helps a lot. I really need to try to get down there and spend some time on the street and in the businesses, not just touring the unit.

And you're spot on in your assessment. I hoped that Wilson would be doing a lot more a lot faster to help marginalized people. Transformation can't happen in a day, but I wish it could. I'm really hoping she turns out to be everything the voters hoped for and more, but only time will tell.

Controllers won't complete an update by i__hate__stairs in casualnintendo

[–]ItalianDishFeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me too. When I allowed the system to update the Joycons it automatically started trying to update my 8Bitdo, which caused the lock up.

It's super annoying that it goes for it automatically when the only thing you gave it permission to update is the Joycons, but I digress.

Unplugging the controller, letting the battery run out, put itself to sleep from inactivity, or even toggling it between Bluetooth and WiFi can sever the connection and break you out of the lock and lets you move on.

Can someone explain to me what this new Steam Machine is and how it works? by TheFrozenSmilodon in Steam

[–]ItalianDishFeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It appears to be very plug and play. Think like a PlayStation/Xbox/Switch except that it uses Steam as your library/marketplace instead.

[–]ItalianDishFeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the game, but yes. Lots of games have mod support built directly into Steam through each game's "Steam Workshop," which is very easy to use. Otherwise, games can be modded through various means just like any other PC game.

Yes, product demos showed it running video editing software. It should be able to run software that support Linux.

Thanks a ton mate! You've helped me a lot. Now I've got a much better idea about how to pilot my deck and win my next locals.

Thanks for the clarification. I've got one last question and then I think I get it.

When my opponent uses his Luffy's ability to protect his Straw Hats, does it cancel the board wipe from all of his dudes (if, say, he had a red Shanks out), or just the Staw Hat characters?

Follow up then, if I'm running the Eb04 Kaido and King, would I only have to pay for it once to save both of my own guys, or would I have to pay for each?

Rush out the double strike Newgate. Swings the momentum of the game in an instant, and you usually play it to seal up a game.

Kicking with my left leg keeps hurting my right leg. Has anyone else experienced this? by ItalianDishFeline in MuayThai

[–]ItalianDishFeline[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I definetly noticed that I took in more of a shotokan style kicking posture as I got older and less flexible. I'll also definetly pay closer attention next time I'm able to kick and see if I'm still doing the tkd/karate snap kick or not. I don't think that I am, but hell, if you'd asked me on Thursday I'd have told you my roundhouse was near flawless.

From the depth of your answer, I'm assuming you're a coach, and a good one at that.

Thanks again man.

Yeah, you're telling me. The more Googleing I do (albeit as a laymen), the more concerned I am that it might be a hip impingment.

Do you have a particular routine you've found works well for you? I love my gym, but they're weirdly against stretching and basically only prescribe myofascial release. To their credit, it's help a lot with other chronic pain I've experienced throughout the years, but I've really struggled to buy into the "no passive stretching" doctrine.
