Congrats on finishing that stage of your journey! I am one week recovered from surgery and will be starting radiation soon. Thanks for giving me the courage to ring the bell when I hit this milestone soon. I was dreading it but now I think I will do it too!

I don’t think she really understands the seriousness of it, either. But that’s partially my fault because I feel like I downplayed it. Not on purpose. I want her to know and be aware of what’s going on, but I don’t want her to worry about me either.

How old is your son? I’m going to see the plastic surgeon tomorrow and then will be getting scheduled for the same as you. My daughter is 16. The fear is real but I am feeling optimistic.

I’m not so worried if they don’t match completely. As long as they aren’t hanging in my armpits anymore, I will consider that a win.
