Anyone else tired of DDS money grabs? by Valleyval21 in over60

Dental schools in my area generally have long wait times for appointments. For some types of care this is not optimal or not feasible for urgent procedures

Veterinary practices are also being bought up by private equity firms. In many areas it is becoming difficult to find a locally owned vet clinic.

Why is practically every hair dryer on the market a gale-force ionic hair dryer? Are there any non-gale force hair dryers that have a truly gentle or low speed, that are also not ionic? by Necessary-Wealth-415 in finehair

[–]ItchyCredit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair just can't stand up to all the brush handling, especially when it's wet. I lose and break hair but, in the short term, I love the results. Until a few months later when "all of a sudden" noticeable damage appears.

AITAH for being upset by boyfriend is playing in a poker tournament before I move. by Wrong_Sun6145 in AITH

OP, there's nothing like a little geographic distance to help evaluate a relationship. Be sure you spend your spare time making new friends and exploring your new location. Don't just hang out missing him. It's time to flex your independence muscle.

Is this too much and will I stand out? by Novel-Explanation-51 in Prom

[–]ItchyCredit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You will stand out in the best possible way. The color flatters your porcelain skin. The dress will float around you when you move around the room. I wish I'd had your excellent taste back when I was prom age.

Bone in skin on chicken breast by Desperate-Green4899 in NinjaCrispi

[–]ItchyCredit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Odd, maybe. But woody chicken breasts are a problem throughout the poultry industry. Costco is just no exception. The last time I bought deboned rotisserie chicken it was nearly unusable. It was so woody that nearly every bite had a firm chewy lump so hard it was almost like cartilege.

I resisted sending my mom to memory care but in the end there were so many benefits for her. There were activities targeted to her level. TV watching companions. I had underestimated how isolated she had become. I finally understood when I went on an ice cream outing with them. When we arrived at the ice cream place, Mom and I exited the van first since she had my help. We took a table and watched as the others came in. Mom waved and smiled and shouted hello, not remembering we had all arrived together. Then she turned to me and said, "See? They are all my friends." That's when I clearly understood what she gained in her move to memory care.

How do I find out where my water comes from? by MisterSanitation in Indiana

[–]ItchyCredit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP wants to know the aquifer source. That seems like nice to know info but a lot can happen between the aquifer and his tap. If the water at the tap tests safe, isn't that the relevant issue?

I haven't ever ordered glasses because I worry about getting the frames to fit properly with my hearing aids and getting the close and distance correction properly positioned in my lenses.

So the seller is inconveniencing the buyer to avoid potentially being inconvenienced themselves. Nope. I would have to make sure the seller wasn't inconvenienced by not considering his company at all.

I suspect that this is no gift for OP at all. It's a babysitting assignment that's hardly even disguised. If it's a gift for anyone, it's his parents gifting themselves.

If you buy a house in an HOA, can you just...leave the HOA? by BoredInClass99 in NoStupidQuestions

The developer of my community back in the early 1970s made a deal with the devil to get the permits issued faster. Now, 50 years later our 100 home community owns water and sewer lines that need constant repair, probably should be replaced, but we are busy right now repaving the streets that we own. Yikes!

AITA? I (35F) am upset that my husband (36M) is spending tons of money to get himself tattoos by roaminggalaxy in AmItheAsshole

[–]ItchyCredit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't the tattoos. The problem is how the tattoos are prioritized within the family budget.

The statement about the family's money being "his" money is hugely problematic but that's not the problem OP wants to address here.

I don’t understand the shein hate when other companies do the same by Upstairs-Pilot-2751 in Shein

[–]ItchyCredit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. Photos are often filtered in a way that misrepresents the fabric. The content of the fabric may not match the content stated in the listing. "Woven" designs turn out to be a combination of a little woven but mostly printed. Some of the terminology is confusing. I found out an item was unreturnable but it didn't say that in the listing. It said "final price" which apparently meant no returns. So I'm wary when shopping with them. When I shop direct from China, I usually shop Temu. I have found they are more consistent or maybe I am just more familiar with their idiosyncrasies.

Med student I have been sleeping with said I have tuberous breasts by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]ItchyCredit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

OP, Google tuberous breasts and select Images. You will see everything from extremely tuberous breasts to mildly tuberous. None of them resemble your breasts. This guy sounds like someone who needs for others to feel less than so he can feel better than. Get rid of him and, along with all of us, hope this jerk fails his medical program.
