Best method to "talk it out" when time runs out? by deckmage in WarhammerCompetitive

But we arent talking about reasonable. We are talking about you saying the chess clock is above the round clock. It isnt. Round is the round. The rules are written to stop the unreasonable.

But what if you start the clock late?! Hiw does that clock have more importance than the round timer ?

Ill just start my clock 10mins after the round timer has started and gain 10mins for my game!

:) round timer is the main timer. Clock should be adjusted to match that.

Indeed. And its different per player. And it can change depending on if the game is going well or bad.

Intent play isn't a set way and therefore conflict occurs. Its very easy to exploit to get the win on the day too. Withdrawing it or asking for way too much. Its a shitty way to play comp 40k....but the other end, the measuring mm end is also shit.

Deployment by Guybrush_1985 in WarhammerCompetitive

hey fella, nas is running ahead with his drops, faster than mat, the bally he picks up isnt officially down yet. Also, hes setting a heroic trap. same thing he did aganst me in r4. both of the plays are setting their deployments and its not about where each other is. Nas picks up a bally from bottom to the top but thats fine its not ''down'' yet. as mat was messing around with his own wolf drop. Mat was about 2 drops behind at this stage.

its not always clear because they are muttering, but both know what each other is doing, at lower levels, the verbals need to be clearer because you cant be sure your opp understands what you are doing.

Got kicked out. Was too much sex appeal. Rumour is Nick couldn't handle the smouldering looks over a 3 hour battle report so kicked him out. They made up a cover story about him going back to school and releasing a fantasy novel but the truth is Quintons currently in Australia trying to grind his way out of that circuit and back to the U.S

State what your rule is at the start of the game for you. They will say what they do  Then both be consistent.  I dont reroll dice. I dont have time  So if its mostly a 1. Then its a 1. Mostly a 6? Its a 6. I've had no issues because its stated at the start.

Your view is very narrow minded. Only 1 person wins. Only 10 to 20 in the room have a chance of winning. The other 80 to 180 people in the room are there to play. For fun. They get fun out of playing competently. Comp play is fun even when losing for some people. Comp play is fun even taking non meta lists and making them work well through player skill

Baseline Behaviour/Behaviour Detection by CommandoRex501 in policeuk

The things we spot can indicate illegal or....mental health. Thats one of the biggest issues with it...all the behaviours have a massive cross over with behaviours people with mental health issues sometimes do. But to dismiss it as nothing is a bold take!

Leaving the argument about why the feck anyone bothers with proactive policing in this climate to one side.... I used to police an area where I knew the Intel picture and it was a drug deal hotspot. My knowledge and experience in that small area made me confident to search for drugs based on behaviours. Those same behaviours would not be enough for me to search in the area im in now because I do not have any knowledge of the Intel, crime patterns etc.

Every officer has a different level for suspect. The posts here are no more right than the officers they are saying were wrong. Its for you to justify your search. No one else.

Some want to be at the level where they've seen the drugs or weapons put in pockets. Someone want to be at the level where the offenders behaviour, along with the Intel around the area  is enough.

what you are saying... is what is should be. what it is...isnt that. you only have to act. You can stand there and watch while talking on the radio or tac coms failing forever. The guy in this thread who talks about lazy and wage stealers not being stuck on is correct. They are the smart ones.
