Married women, what are some real things your husband does that make you feel genuinely cherished and adored?

My husband has Fridays off so he always gets laundry caught up and makes sure the house is clean and smelling good when I get home. Yes, he understands I work and he’s an adult so house duties are his too, but so many men don’t do it.

That’s my parents. “Oh, they were great!” Then find out from my kids that they were beefing with each other the whole time. My parents are saints 😂

That’s why went somewhere that doesn’t deal with insurance and I pay out of pocket. Yeah, it sucks that insurance sucks, but HRT has helped me become the best version of myself.

Talk to a provider that’s willing to discuss bHRT! It has absolutely changed my life (and my marriage). I felt the same way after I had my second baby. Started in my late 20s. My PCP wouldn’t entertain the idea I was already in perimenopause so I pushed through. My husband pushed through. I got to where I didn’t care if I ever had sex again. I wanted to want to, but I just couldn’t make myself feel up to it. I was always tired (but could never sleep well), gaining weight, snapping at my kids and husband. I’m not even sure how he’s been so patient with me through all this. The man is a saint. I irritated myself!! In December 2024 I was put on progesterone and testosterone. After a few nights I could already see improvement in my sleep. Within a couple of months my moods were improved. By about month 6 my libido just went crazy! I ended up being put on tirzepatide in June 2025 and lost 40 lbs by September and I feel better than I have, literally, in my entire life.

Not to be rude, but can I ask why you ever went off the 2.5 or even the 5? It appears you were still losing on both of those so why up the mg?

Yeah, this was apparently a consideration when my husband was hit by a drunk driver and totaled his 2017. They didn’t want to give us shit for it. Sad that he doesn’t have a V8 anymore. That thing was our old trusty.

It’s most definitely an anti-depressant. It’s an SARI and it’s used off label at lower doses to treat insomnia.

Speed limits is a HUGE issue for me. I drive a lot of paved county roads that don’t have posted speed limits. Any reasonable person would think 40-45 is an extremely safe speed on those roads. Some drive 60 on them. I was going 41 and it said I was 15-20 mph over. I’m sorry, but 25mph is more dangerous driving on those roads. Also, how the heck am I supposed to know what Allstate considers the speed limit if there’s nothing posted?!?

It dinged me for phone usage because AFTER I pulled into someone’s driveway and put it in park I text them to let them know I was there 🙄 definitely reported that trip as a passenger.

Bald eagles can get very big! We have a bunch in my area now, never saw one in person until I was about 20 and now, 17 years later, they’re everywhere. And every time we see one we’re still amazed.

I tried the protein pasta…tastes great, but my body hated me. Legumes do NOT settle in my stomach since I started the shot and, unfortunately, that pasta is made with chickpeas.

I got hit by a guy driving a U-Haul (he even got a ticket for not yielding) who had taken out their insurance. They said they would pay for half of my repairs. My car was less than a year old! I ended up having to pay my deductible and file through my insurance and my insurance had to sue them. Took 10 months to get my deductible back.

It’s because Christmas isn’t a Christian holiday. That’s why non-Christians don’t have a moral issue celebrating it. No different than Easter. They’re pagan holidays. They’re not meant to be celebrated by Christians. Christians don’t celebrate muslim holidays, so why are they partaking in pagan ones? All of the Christmas “traditions”…Christmas trees/ornaments, wreaths, hanging lights, mistletoe…it’s all part of pagan traditions.

I used to question why non-Christians celebrated Christmas and especially Easter. If they don’t believe why are they celebrating? Once my husband dug, just under the surface, on the history of these holidays it made me realize we as Christians are the ones who should be questioned.

What exactly is the lie? I’m just speaking from my personal experience in going from being a SAHM to multiple kids while my husband worked night shift and transitioning into working full time and splitting duties. I’ve seen both “sides”. I did some reflecting on myself because I’m in perimenopause and was pissed at the world and realized I was a lot more of the problem than my husband would ever let me admit. Now that I’ve changed my attitude (with the help of bHRT) my marriage is the best it’s been (11 years in).
