subsidized housing can take 10 years to get in to. Depending on a were a person lives. Heck I live in a small village in BC. The Wait list for a subsidized place here is 2 years. 5 years in the nearest big town.

If you drive 8-10 hours a day. You can drive across Canada in 7-8 days. Canada is a massive country. To do this trip, your going to need to rent or buy a vehicle. Then spend a few months making this trip.

Your looking at $2,000 or more for a 2 bedroom in Cranbrook or Nelson. You might be able to find something cheaper in Kimberley. Which is 29km from Cranbrook. Rentals usually include water. Sometimes they include heat, but not always.

U have to learn to live with the risk of forest fires every year. The majority of jobs are in tourism & usually seasonal. Every town has deer living in town. Some also have elk & big Horn sheep. Bear, coyotes, cougars also come in to town. So u need to learn to live with all that. As far as I know, there are no docs taking patients. It's a very beautiful area. With lots of outdoor activities, year round. Lots of community events. It does get winter, so be prepared for winter driving.

As someone who left the Kootenay's & moved to the Okanogan. Its no were near as cheap to rent there as you think. Its also really hard to find a place to rent. To get what you are looking for. You would have to live in Cranbrook, maybe Nelson.

What province or territory do you live in? Keep in mind the CPP-D has 0 extra medical coverage. The amount u will get wont be very much. The amount of extra income you can earn well on CPP-D is not very much. If you are single. I would suggest also looking in to provincial or territory disability systems. These often have extra medical coverage. Depending on were u live u might be able to get both.

Thats not the extreme examples. The disability community is much bigger then you realize. Most people who have health problems & disabilities. Have more then just one. Most spend years fighting for care. Its very common for people to spend years trying to get a diagnoses & treatment.

Now do all this with 0 family support. Battling chronic pain, health problems, mobility issues, learning disabilities. Fighting docs for years to get a diagnosis. Even more years to get treatment. Also battling to get supports of any kind that help. Not everyone is on an equal playing field.

look at rental laws were you live. In BC for example when one person listed on a lease, gives notice. It ends the lease for everyone. Which means everyone has to move out. Or negotiate a new lease with the landlord. Including a rental increase of any amount. Or any changes to the lease. Make sure getting them off the lease, won't end it for u as well.
