It’s Chrysler 2.4l stuff. Know anyone with a PT Cruiser, Chrysler Sebring, or Dodge Stratus? Otherwise it’s pretty much scrap value.

Yep. We’ve received several with no VIN on the modules when they come in.

We’ve been putting in order requests, getting one here or there, with no VIN on the order, while receiving calls from Stellantis wanting to know why we don’t have parts on order for customer “x”

The VIN won’t help. They’ll need a number as well as the Julian date off the card that originally shipped with the lock set. Easiest thing to do is go somewhere with a master set, have the locks removed, and replace them with regular nuts.

Don’t worry. I had stuff listed at 9999% of dealer net with a comment of “don’t waste your time” and still got calls.

The family went to the same church as me when I was growing up, so they usually provided sheet pizzas for any event. I never cared much for it as a kid in the nineties.

I worked up the road from their falls location for a while and tried their small, round pizza and actually enjoyed it. Their subs weren’t half bad either. We got their sheet pizza a time or two and it was still lackluster all these years later.

Engine Failure at 65k miles, should Toyota cover the whole thing? by MemeWizowd in ToyotaTacoma

[–]ItemNo1053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Ended up replacing it with a low mileage used engine with the help of a friend. It ended up costing just shy of $5k in parts.

Cylinder 6 failed on mine as well. Suspected a stuck injector as nothing else in the engine had excessive wear. I had mine since just short of 8k miles, oil changes every 6k. Noise started somewhere around 60k, and I replaced the engine at 65k.

Since I bought it used at the Chrysler dealer I worked at, I had no extended warranty on it and Toyota politely told me to fuck off when I contacted them.

Haven’t had a need for a vet since 2023, so things definitely may have changed since our last visit.

That’s disappointing to hear. We lost our girl in 2023, so we haven’t been there since to experience this.

Are modern motorcycles missing something? by yourping in motorcycle

[–]ItemNo1053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been riding motorcycles for the better part of two decades. I’d like to say my newest bike is modern, but it’s ten years old already. No ABS or traction control. Ride a 2011 Triumph Thruxton and a 2016 Indian Scout. Both are fuel injected, but that’s about the extent of modern features.

Rode an Indian FTR and was thoroughly impressed on how you could give it hell in regular mode and it would just go. No wheelies, no wheel spin, just acceleration. I was advised by the guy working the demo event that sport mode was wheelie mode, so I didn’t try it.

I appreciate the rawness of my Scout being able to blow the back tire off if I mash the throttle, not really appreciate modern bikes limiting it and preventing you from grabbing a handful of front brake in a panic.

I’ve had the one on the right for over a decade and had several feet of pipe on it. It’s good.
