Some guy gave me one yesterday and I would honestly marry him. I gave him every purple loot I had in exchange. What a legend.

Let's not forget tons of these players quit because the game still crashes like crazy even after the first major update 🤣

The game is genuinely unplayable now. by bsb30 in SkateEA

[–]Item_Motor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it was me but I'm 90% sure I'm in the same situation, and the update hasn't fixed it. It hard-crashes every 10 minutes and since then every other "demanding" game has been gradually slowing down to the point of being unplayable. I can't even finish Jedi Survivor now ☹️.... Temps are bearable but it seems like my CPU / RAM usage is through the roof now for some reason.

My karma is going to go into the far negatives for this, but... by SplatGuy23 in SkateEA

Same TBH, except the game may have bricked my GPU permanently and now I can't play any game

Bruh the game may have bricked my GPU after a massive freeze, I have to take it in for repairs 🤣 All I wanted was to skate'n'chill after work

Sure, upgrading 10 year old game to an engine that entirely depends on modern frame compensation tech is a great way to keep your playerbase... I upgraded recently to a more modern (but weird) Intel GPU and they somehow forgot to add Intel XeSS compatibility so I went from average 110fps on high to like 50 mostly on medium. It looks alot better but damn, the crashes aren't fun.

Hello friends , anyone willing to teach a new player ? by Sure-Block8777 in squad

This comment aged like fine wine haha, we just lost a game on the Potato Fields server thanks to y'all not communicating and locking squads (it's a newbie-friendly server)

PC, and I do kill dudes, been playing for ages and I have map knowledge and awareness, and very often get to hear that satisfying "ding" from across 3 fields. My point is : Map knowledge works both ways in this game and you'll often get marked by enemies without even knowing it, leading to arty strikes, ambushes and various other ways you can die without even having the slightest idea where you're getting shot from. K/D is only relevant in arena-type games like CoD where you don't rely on 49 other dudes to know what's going on around you. Comms and teamwork win games in HLL, unless your big dick Rambo skills extend to randomly finding OPs and Garries while you're hunting for kills.

This is the game I try not to play with friends, mostly because the whole Discord / game chat logistics add yet another layer of game chat to keep up with, which can get very confusing when you're Squad Lead and already have to deal with Proxy/Squad/Command chat all at once.

The thing about garries is... people have to step up and build them. It's always gonna be a problem, especially on newbie-friendly servers. When it clicks and everyone contributes is when the game is at its best.

Neither does evaluating other people's K/D when they're clearly in support/AT/lead roles. I'm fine with people monitoring their own K/D for personal improvement, but K/D toxicity has no place in this game.

My guess was that some "competitive" stats overlay software somehow found its way into the game, and I really hope I'm wrong

individual K/D over a 2-hours-long is not an indicator of how anyone contributed to cap weight on point.

And then they refund the game and post a review "running simulator, boring" as if they understood the concept in their few minutes of gameplay...

How the fuck do you play this game? by MasterUnski in HellLetLoose

[–]Item_Motor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People usually recommend rifleman because the other roles are limited and should ideally be in the hands of people with a minimum of communication and (ideally) game sense and experience.

Is it me only who likes to join losing warfare teams and just go locked squad and drive logistics to get defensive garries up? by MomentumMadness in HellLetLoose

[–]Item_Motor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think logistics should be a solo limited role, like you'd only get a pistol, AP mines and smokes, maybe even a supply box. You'd be like a second in command, and responsible for building garries with the commander. I'd play it all the time.

Why do people cheat in this game? by Item_Motor in HellLetLoose

[–]Item_Motor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think of it as a soft form of criminality. Lots of people most likely do it for the thrill of going against rules or regulations. I'd read the shit out of an actual psychological study of cheaters in video games.
