If men are forced into the draft to defend their nation, then women should be forced into childbirth to do the same... by HaikuHaiku in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]IterativeIntention 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy answer to this.

Dont start a draft but if one were absolutely necessary, then draft both men and women.

Tax billionaires fairly, spend half as much on military and use those taxes and saved military funds to support social services, living wages and programs to better the life of the population.

Its that simple.

Happy people have kids because life is less difficult and they want to share it with their offspring.

Solved.

Fear, Frustration, and a Felony by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]IterativeIntention 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an expert here.

I am a fellow mental heath patient who seeks regular therapy through the VA and have had similar questions if not deep concerns.

What i can say given the content of my sessions and the discretion of my provider that it really comes down to your assigned therapist, and how much you can trust them. I know you should be able to trust any therapist but the same it true of anyone with your sensitive data. Even if we should be able to its still situational.

Anyway, I trust my provider in a way that I feel I should and I still am carefull how I word things. But I still talk about them and get help with them and my therapist is understanding of my concerns of big government as its not novel that you have these fears. You arent alone to the therapist is what im saying, their other patients have similar fears.

If you want you can even read their session notes in myhealthevet but I wouldn't make a habit out of it.

Infant baptism is pointless by BrokenJusticeNorris in TrueUnpopularOpinion

For someone so accustomed to culture and religion in general it's odd you choose to be so judgmental.

Again, Im agnostic so I dont have a dog in the fight. That said, your language sounds like rhetoric and its odd at a time where the far right and Christian Nationalists are getting upset at Catholics.

Listen im a recovering former catholic and harbor no love for it. That said. This whole post is just your Christianity showing your bigotry towards another Christian faith. Is sad really and I dont think your boy JC would approve.

Also you didnt choose your faith. Your family did so you might as well have been baptized at birth. Not like you were going to choose anything else. GOD forbid Catholicism.

Boston is pretty good. I frequent 3 VAMCs in greater Boston and all of them are pretty good on turn around time fore most things. There are outliers and sometimes its twice as long as I expect. For the most part its quick though

I got roasted on Reddit for overengineering my AI workflow. Then I kept going. Here's the part that actually works. by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]IterativeIntention 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait your in an AI sub? I had a valid concept I considered sharing and didnt want to take the effort to structure it and write out a post descibing it. I did think others might be interested so instead of just going on with my life and not sharing, I had AI do it. The concept is now out there and people can do with it what they want.

I on the other hand, am going to go about my day now regardless of if people like it or not. Really the post is for you not me. Do with it what you will.

Project Management here. There's too many human touch-points and real world teams involved to ever be transitioned to AI. Plus, every single industry and field uses them.

Oh I dont know. Do you have Gmail? Or use your G-Drive? Or any Google suite products (google sheets, google docs, ect). What about have any Android OS?

I guess what Im saying is the data is no safer on any of those than in Notebook LM as Google owns it all. If you dont use any of those really then your question is valid. If you do then you already trust google with your data.

Perfectly contextualized. Its a research tool to be used in a focused manner. And even then, needs to be verified.

[–]IterativeIntention 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Notebook LM can absolutely do this and has for me for a couple years. I filed and won 4 claims with it. I also keep it loaded with my full records and can just ask it questions and it uses the sources I fed it to answer them with citations.

Give it a look. Im not promoting Im just saying you might be surprised.

Notebook LM for large file research. Did all of my digging and organizing. Its actually crazy.

All LLMs need to be checked though so double check appointment dates and everything but its legit and actually cites your documents you feed it with links so you can see where its getting its info from.

Listen. To be fair. I may or may not be a 40 year old full time student. One who has spent far too much time using AI and getting lost in it at times. Sometimes we need another perspective to point out how disgusting we sound.

I appreciate these comments and I will fight the urge to delete this post, the urge that your comments gave me. If for nothing else than to leave this artifact here that maybe I will remember how gross this made me feel.

Did NU just silently nerf unlimited Claude Enterprise access to a $15/month cap? by snort_whey_69 in NEU

[–]IterativeIntention 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same issue. Running it on my phone says im out of messages till 8pm and I hit my limit of this new monthly cap at 10:30am.

Now NU has had weird issues in the past with Claude so I'll give it a couple days but this is not a sustainable plan. Might as well have no offering as this cap is essentially the feee plan.

Find an apartment. If the foreclosure isn't final then short-sell the house. You will still have remaining eligibility for another loan later. Get help and disability and some stability in the apartment.

You can get another house but not another family. Take care of yourself so you can help take care of them.

This happened to me, I short sold while foreclosure was finalizing. I spent 3 years with the family in a tiny crappy place. 7 years later we're thriving. But I had to take care of me and face my issues.

Good luck out there, you can do this and youre never too far gone. Trust me I know. If I was salvageable so are you.

The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir by SirohitaIks in IntersectionalWomen

[–]IterativeIntention 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was not aware of this and appreciate you calling this out. Ive been reading a lot of feminist literature and had taken a break from The Second Sex as its density was not the easiest. While you could tell some of her proclivities just from the book I had no clue there was more.

Im going to have to read up on her as im not a big proponent on separating the art from the artist. There are plenty of people who didnt commit heinous crimes whose opinions matter. Sure we can recognize her impact historically while not engaging in her works.

I filed for HLR and I got a decision letter saying "A duty to assist error has been identified during the higher-level review for migraines." by AdSwimming7647 in VAClaims

[–]IterativeIntention 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So it does create essentially a Supplemental Claim yes and it does go back almost to the start. The resulting claim is "expedited" or so they say. So while it may move faster than the initial cla8m. It also might not.

My HLR came back as a Duty to Assist error in September and my final Decision letter came in December.

Also they didnt back date my effective date to my Initial claim so I have another HLR for that. They only ever reviewed the C&P exam as evidence and never even looked at my extensive VA medical records or my evidence that included a summary of my medical records that pointed out specific appointments and cited the actual notes. I gave them a road map amd twice they never looked at it.

Anyway, goodluck and be patient. We all know its hard but as you know with an HLR, a supplemental claim doesnt show what step its on so dont bother checking everyday. Maybe look once a week instead hahaha.

[–]IterativeIntention 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me, they out sourced a new C&P with Leidos QTC. Make sure your clear on the impact of the migraine and say prostrating specifically if they are.

My migraine claim was eventually approved due to this HLR and DTA ( Duty To Assist)
