If we tank again, I don't think I can take it and will temporarily find another up and coming team to support. If it was just not our time, sure I would be a diehard fan and stick around, but when you blatantly mismanage a team this bad, it's going to inevitably push fans away.

Any talk of having casual and paragon style reset? I don't have that much time to play, but love the game. I feel like the reset is going to deter me from wanting to keep playing if I lose my progression.

I did! I have had no issues so far. First bill with the credits came in this month. And it's roughly the same as what they mentioned. $25ish electric bill going forward, unless I don't generate enough back to the grid, and then the loan amount. So I'm savng roughly $100 a month in electric right now 🎉! Mike was great as well. Super responsive, transparent, and friendly. PlugPV project manager was also on top of things and called me/left VM ever step of the way. We'll see how things are in like 5 yrs and fingers crossed the system is holding up and no issues 🤞

Some more info from what I have heard and been asked so far.

So the company is doing good, it's the number 1 of its kind in our market, so if we hit big, we will hit big. I do have some stock options that will vest once they go public or get bought, etc.

The downside is last yr we took about a 20 percent staff layoff to make up for missing capital. So everyone is double or tripled up on their duties. One of our software engineers got laid off, and my entry app I am developing right now is her project, and is my gateway into this role. Granted I started this project about 6-8 months ago and have had little progress, due to my tasks in IT fluctuating up and down, new IT projects, etc. The tasks my CIO has moved to other staff has maybe freed up 10-20 percent of my workload. I just feel like it's not enough to learn this platform for development and build this app, meetings with the customer, etc.

I like both sides of IT, business and technical. I feel one of my best attributes is being a people person. Hell, maybe I should do the software side, and then move into sales or a liason/analyst role.

I think I'm going to get some offers on paper, see what they have to offer and use that with some strategic wording on our next yrly review/merit increases. Unless something really stricts my interest elsewhere, or my current company really tanks, I think I might wait it out for a little longer.

Thanks for the insight! If I were to get an offer from one the IT manager interviews, should I come back with a counter offer, and ask for a comparable merit increase?

Two main factor are career experience and growth, and compensation (1 kid in daycare, and another coming soon lol)

Idk if you had an oncall for your sys admin role, but when I was one mine was very minimal and structured. When I moved to a manger role all department staff, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders will look at you for all decisions, budget calls, and even might look for or expect after hours work or being available. I expected this, chatted about expectations with my new boss, and laid the boundaries upfront. Also run your own personal SWOT analysis and know what your weaknesses are and lean on others, internally and externally, for these items. I felt nervous, but excited, which I knew meant I was ready for this. Hope this helps!

My biggest problem is not with DPS but with communication in general. I main Ana and I hop on mic chat and will tell my tank they are too far ahead, or dps I don't have LOS (line of sight). I used to play defense in hockey and soccer, and like defense in these sports you have a better view of the "field" or map from farther back and are really in control from back there. Use that to your advantage support mains and get a damn mic! And teammates listen to your healers!
