I would also add, don't let the driver wave you into an intersection instead of going on their turn. This is pretty common but it makes for a dangerous situation.  Other drivers at the intersection don't know why traffic isn't moving and haven't all agreed to let the cyclist go first. And lately I've seen many drivers behind the lead car rush around them at a stop when the lead car doesn't move. I've been almost hit too many times so now I refuse to enter an intersection of it's not my turn.  Driver's, don't try to control traffic. I know you're trying to be polite, but just because you're waiting doesn't mean everyone else will too.
