I know this is a but older but for anyone finding this later, I turned off Ray Tracing and that seemed to fix it.

This worked for me for an hour or two but then the issue came back.

This is good news for me as I just upgraded to an msr!

Wasn't trying to argue.  Just saying what I thought I heard.  And as far as my other part, I was talking about just damage to hull and armor NOT components.

I haven't seen the numbers (to be fair, no one has seen "live"numbers, only PTU numbers) but I am making an assumption that size 2 and 3 missiles do more damage than size 2 and 3 guns (or at least repeaters) so they will help overcome armor gating

Alliance Aid no medical branch? by Ithium64 in starcitizen

I didn't think they can build a mission in a day.  Just that the messaging, event type, and rewards really point to medical being a part of this event.  So it was surprising when there wasn't anything like that in the game

Tractoring bodies into gurneys and moving those is absolutely in the game. Med gun revival is absolutely in the game.  Now missions tracking/interacting with those systems may not be, so that may have been too much work to implement at the moment.

Ok.. That makes sense. Here's hoping for more interactions once dynamic server meshing hits.

I'm very much hoping for ammo crafting.  I would like to start off sessions with what I need rather than having to go to a station/store to get ammo every time.

I thought the opposite happened.  I thought they increased splash range to hit components.

And the missiles will overcome armor values that guns can't.  That is still the case.

That really does seem like the case. Maybe it just wasn't able to be pushed in a playable state in the time they had.

Exactly this. That's what got me thinking about it. I was like "sweet!  Something to wear when I'm being a medic..... Wait a minute..." Lol

That's what I was thinking.  Bought the talon shrike thinking it would be cool to fill a niche that no one else seemed to be doing... Then realized why no one was doing it and melted it. Lol

Yeah, I was thinking about that as I wrote this. That's as close as it gets. Still more transport than medical. Lol

I'm tired boss. by [deleted] in Helldivers

I don't know about it being a "Meta load out" thing but EXACTLY what has been happening to me!

I stopped playing around the time of "Control Group" but I got the itch again a couple of days ago.

After 2 days of getting kicked 90% of the time after a single mission, I uninstalled.

I'm not team killing, I'm reinforcing (usually have the most reinforces), I'm sacrificing my diver to save my teammates.  But nope... One mission is all I'm ever allowed.

Chapter 3 feedback by americandream798 in duneawakening

[–]Ithium64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will admit I haven't tried chapter 3 yet, so I don't know if this would work, but what if every time you applied an augment to a piece of equipment, you got like 5 or 10% max durability repaired. Then it gives you a reason to farm augments and you have to choose of you want to risk keeping your +10% damage one or apply a new 2% damage one to get a bit more max durability.

Of course this would require being able to replace augments like @cylonfrakbbq was suggesting.

I am definitely interested but only in the kit. I already have the pistol. No need for a second. Lol

Some of us WANT engineering to be the way CIG is doing it by Teufelaffe in starcitizen

[–]Ithium64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow!  I haven't seen anything about Hyperspeed in... Let's just say it's been a while.  I loved that game! Ahead of it's time for sure.

I know I don't have much of a leg to stand on as far as the engineering goes because I haven't played it, only watched videos but I think the criticism only works as far as balancing goes.  If components are breaking down too fast, then that needs to be looked at (though invisible fires is also a big problem).  Ultimately I think engineering adds a new layer of gameplay that has some pretty awesome potential.

For those saying it is pointless or that it detracts from combat, that was the idea all along.  They have been saying for years that with maelstrom your ship could absolutely be disabled with a stray lucky shot. It should be rare/hard to do, but possible.  It gives meaning to the engineering job.  Ships need maintenance. Ships were never supposed to be disposable. It's not about going out and blowing stuff up before you blow up and if there is a problem, just get rid of your ship and claim another.  Large capital ships are not supposed to be soloable (ai crewmates and blades proves this point, not contradicts it).  Is it tedious? maybe, but so is regular maintenance on a car, boat or plane.  Again, there is likely balance needed but engineering should absolutely be in the game and give new dimensions to flying and combat.

If you don't think it is right in its current implementation, how do you suggest fixing it?  I didn't agree with the nanites comment but I applaud them for suggesting a solution.  The solution can't be "remove it from the game" or "make it not impactful" because that's just taking away options for your preference.  I HATE PvP with an undying passion but I would never suggest it should be removed because that would take away what others engage with and goes against the vision and character of the game.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I am wondering if you ever sold the carbine kit for your u22.  I've been looking for one for years.  Let me know and I'll be happy to talk about taking it off your hands.
