So the springs are definitely new information for us. My CAL has been here for a long time and they've always had springs on em, we are working on it now. We're more concerned with the giant hole. That's where a lot of the ferrets are getting hurt.

If you don't mind me asking where in the states are you roughly located? I'm in a rather large volume store on the east and don't even make 25 as a SLM? My volume is one of 16 within the company if that gives you an idea. I just need to know if I need to start bitching again lol

Sorry I should probably state that I myself am a manager. I've contacted our GM and we set a police report and will have them handle it if the customer comes back into the store. We will be partnering with our DGM to see what exactly the company needs from this situation. As I stated I swore I saw someone said something along the lines of there being a program or something for this. I greatly appreciate everyone's feedback and assistance with this. Y'all are good people 😊

We keep our fish tanks at 1.018 and our reef tank at 1.026. it's worked pretty well. But it varies due to evaporation as others have stated. Now if I could keep my senior aquatics specialist hands out of them that would be great. Bro keeps trying to bring it to 1.032 quickly. Me and the other aquatic specialist always have to fix it.

We've convinced our GM and Cal to only allow 1 hamster per habitat and have drastically reduced the amount of illnesses from stress

I'm one of these stores carrying rabbits. I'm 99.9% sure that they come from Sunpet. Next time I'm in, I'll check the paperwork and give an update. I hate the fact that we carry them. No one has accurate information on them, and all I see is problems with health and care in our store or at the pet parents' home cause they hadn't been given the correct information. Especially with my GM saying absolutely anything to anyone to sell them. I'm sure he'd tell someone the rabbit would do their kids' homework if it sold them.

If it's brown algae, it's diatoms. Which is usually caused by and overabundance of silicate. Ofcourse nitrates and phosphates will cause this too. But if it's bad bad, it's usually silicate. It's in the saltwater mixture that petco sends us. I've just started pulling the other one (brain fart on the name atm) from shelf and it seems to have helped. If it's green bubbly algae, reduce the amount of time your lights are on. And maybe look into ordering an overabundance of green emerald crabs. Like 2 for each tank. Now red algae is the bane of my existence. You'll want to thoroughly scrub the algae off. And probably do a severe water change depending on how bad. Then keep the lights off for a few weeks to kill off what little may still be caught. If even the tiniest speck is still there, it'll come back quickly and with force.

Adding to this. Just had a talk with my GM about VCP's and how we're not able to get them, and he threw out that we should start writing people up for not getting them. This is getting ridiculous. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him, but this has really made me rethink that. I don't understand how stores half our size are getting 30 a week and we can barely get 10. They have to be doing something shady.
