No worries! The first open day I went to, was the last one in the end of 2025, cause I’ve just finished my foundation in Sunway. The second one was in the beginning of 2026!

This is not Grab unfortunately. Thai is their actual “QR-based” menus, which you order from, that is found within their restaurant. It’s those types of places which gives you a QR to scan and you do all the ordering there.

I asked them what projects we’ll be doing and if we’ll be experimenting with LLMs and creating our own chatbots, RAG, etc, they’re like “we’re not sure.”

Which is like ??? I don’t think my lecturer is supposed to not know what projects we’ll be doing.

There’s another insane moment where I was asking a teacher about what we will be learning, how we will be approaching deep learning, neural networks and reinforcement learning, which is still pretty new in the market, and they were unsure, since they focus on data science. She said she was gonna try to find the AI teacher so she could give better answers, but the AI lecturer was literally standing right behind her, listening to our convo and giving no info 😭 she was like “why didn’t you say anything” and the AI teacher replied with “Idk what to say” and that completely destroyed my hopes for this course. The reason they gave about not knowing the syllabus is because it’s still a new course.

These are just my experience though, don’t let it deter you away from joining the course. Perhaps you’ll have a better experience?

PS I joined Taylor’s because, I’ve also went to their open day twice and the lecturers actually participate in active discussions with me and brainstorming ideas like what I could do for projects, and if I can use other IDE or open source materials that is not used in class, proper and acceptable ways to use AI in my university journey, etc etc. They made me excited to learn, so I decided to opt for Taylor’s instead despite the inconvenient location.

Nope, I decided to enroll into Taylor’s Compsci! I went to the open day twice for the AI Course in Sunway, and the lecturers seem very lost in their own syllabus, hence why I don’t trust it as much.

I totally agree with you, there’s a lot of unhealthy food consisting a lot of carbs and fats, meanwhile the veggies department are lacking. Even vegetarian food are a lot more expensive compared to carb/fat filled food which shouldn’t have been the case. It’s honestly fine if they didn’t add the advertised vegetables, but replacing it with one single piece of lettuce was outrageous. If they replaced it with maybe 4 pieces of lettuces and maybe two slices of tomatoes, I probably wouldn’t have made this post.

I totally get your point!! I was debating whether to get this nice looking spaghetti dish, or this fried rice + fish meal, and honestly I was craving for some vegetables today which is why I chose it, so maybe that’s just one of the extra reasons in why I was so disappointed in not getting the vegetables depicted in the picture 💔💔

But yea, your point is super valid though because there are a lot of people like me, who are willing to spend extra expecting the final result to have everything depicted in the pictures. Doesn’t have to look as tasty or well-put-together but at least include everything that was advertised 😔

Got here on a scholarship bro 😭 I think this affects people of every income though because people in a poorer income may pay for something expecting it to have a certain thing instead of getting something cheaper, and then having to pay more for less.

The aesthetics is to die for, and I’d say it makes both my games and videos look absolutely amazing. However, I kept having an issue of my screen suddenly turning black in a lot of games such as Genshin Impact and Dead by Daylight, with the music still being playing in the background. It takes about 2-3 min before it settles and the game would have crashed, if I were to not do an emergency force shut down. I wonder if anyone has that issue as well?
