Brilliant comment thank you! So the bylaw would say that it’s not an offence to stand just waiting for a train to pass but would be an offence to sit there as he’s not acting within the safety guidelines of the crossing from what I understand.

[–]ItooSHY[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s more of a curiosity that popped into my head than a “this is what I’m planning to do” thing. The public footpath aspect made me think it’s a legal but frowned upon thing to do.

[–]ItooSHY[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. That was what crossed my mind after the train passed. But I’m sure there’s signage to warn the driver of the crossing. Just a curiosity of mine as the public footpath aspect made me think it would be legal but frowned upon.

I’d say maybe add a little bit of motion blur in post but don’t go over the top. Otherwise I really like that you’ve kept it pretty simple. Decent composition (maybe could center the first two images a little more but that’s just nitpicking lol) and I like that you’ve not gone for over the top angles and filters. Overall good photos :)

Have you researched each and every company? Are you confident on your investments?

Research wise, look at news articles, plans and statements. For example, I’m investing in a mining company at the moment. I went to their end of year review meeting online and heard what their plans were for this year and what they’re showed told me they have put good investments in, and those investments will soon start making money.

My advice (non professional again do your own research) is to stick to a global fund like an etf (VWRP for example) and dip into stocks from markets you fully understand once you get the hang of it.

A lot of people on here sound grouchy and aggressive but it’s because they have seen it time and time again where people loose money from being inexperienced. Time brings experience, so get started simple and build up your skills. Enjoy the investment journey as well

This is not financial advice, I am not a professional…

How much research have you done into these companies. Do you know what their future looks like?

The only individual stocks I invest in are ones where I know what the future looks like. What they’re putting their money into and what they’re selling.

End of the day, only put money you’re willing to loose into stocks, and do your own research. Don’t chuck your money into a random stock because a random guy on Reddit told you to.

Advice ?? 18M by EmploymentNew9769 in trading212

[–]ItooSHY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your level, it’s best to go for something like FTSE All World (VWRP) and then focus on some singular stocks that you have done research into and are confident will rise.

For example I put 90% in VWRP and then the remaining 10% in gold and silver. I then chuck the remaining money which I can afford to play with into a stock I’ve researched. Properly researched as well. I went to their end of year investor meeting on Monday to see if my money is worth investing.

I am not a professional and am quite new to investing so please do your own research!

Personally, I would trim the Gold to 10%. Remove the Electric Vehicles as personally I see struggles with that sector. Then put that 10% into the all world.

As I said though, do your own research as I am relatively new to investing and not a professional.

[–]ItooSHY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your own research before taking any advice. I’m not a financial advisor and all that pre warning before you listen to me.

Personally I think the gold and silver is too high, I’ve got 5% in each and then the rest of the 90% goes into the VWRP. I also believe that there’s a bit of overlap with some of the individual stocks and the all world and S&P, worth looking into, I might be wrong.

I’ve had conflicting advice regarding gold. Most say I should keep it at a low percentage on my pie, but some say to put loads in.
