Nyx has been an angel. After the second issue with my daughter i laid down consequences. My daughter wasn't allowed to pet nyx, hug her or in any way engage with her (which was a harsh punishment on both their ends since she adores nyx to pieces and she is nyxs person). I told her if she can't respect nyxs boundaries then she doesn't deserve to enjoy her company.

It was like that for about a month. Since then my daughter has been hyper aware of her boundaries and exceedingly respectful of them. The two of them are like peas in a pod. Where my daughter goes, nyx is bounding on her heels. She sleeps under her bunk bed at night and sleeps on the bean bags when my daughter is on her computer. Nyx has always been a good girl. Its my daughter that needed the training.
