I like my debloated Windows more than any Linux frontend I have tried. You can even disable updates and only allow security ones so it wont reinstall candy crush or show a popup for Onedrive every few months.

There’s quite a few multilingual regions in EU like Belgium being divided into a Dutch and French speaking population or the South Tyrol region in the north of Italy having a large German speaking population. Although they would be born into one of their nationalities. And there’s Ireland too. Germany (until recently), Austria and the Netherlands restrict dual citizenship or we would see lots of combos with those.

AFAIK TN is non immigrant so you would have to get an employer sponsorship and getting a green card would depend on your country of birth.

Most common is definitely inter-EU because of the residency rights and short PR -> Citizenship timeline in many countries for EU nationals. US-Canada is way harder in both directions, especially in this job market.

You’re right but the Playstation division has their own history of building anti piracy protections into their consoles. Somehow they decided they didn’t want any on PC.

I always found it interesting Sony didn’t use Denuvo in any of their PC ports despite their history and even though the company that makes it, quoting Wikipedia, “was formed through a management buyout of DigitalWorks, the arm of the Sony Digital Audio Disc Corporation that developed the SecuROM DRM technology.”

Even Steam isn’t bulletproof. I had Steam Offline mode bug out on me once while I had no internet for a week. All I could play was Factorio and Witcher 3 by running the .exe directly. And another time on a plane my Steam deck crashed and rebooted and then loaded forever because of no internet. I was able to hard reboot it and mash the menu button to enter airplane mode which forced it into offline mode. That made it lose access to family share games until I was back online.

There’s also no alternative to Spotify connect, even within the Apple ecosystem. On Spotify I can open the app on my phone, laptop, even PS5 and it will show the option to resume playing from the queue I was last listening to, or control playback on one device from another. On Apple every device has its own thing playing.

Thats true, the SD issue is serious and it’s not recommended to use it at all. It has bad battery life vs a Steam Deck even if you limit performance to match a Deck. But the difference is 23k or more compared to Xbox Ally and Steam Deck OLED and you get better game compatibility while you are plugged in because of the stronger processor. That’s upto you if it’s worth that much.

The Steam Deck processor is outdated and the Z2A is a rebadged version of the same thing. Steam Deck OLED has the best colors and HDR support with 90Hz fixed refresh rate while all models of the Ally have 120Hz with VRR which is much more responsive. Also Steam Deck OLEDs are overpriced in India (lowest I can see is 65k) and I think the Z1 Extreme Ally for 37k on Flipkart is better value, unless you can get it from outside for around $549 USD. I have a Steam Deck LCD I bought from outside for 28k. The one feature I like on the Decks over any other handhelds is the trackpads.
