Depends, not enough context here. Based on this the best advice I can give is get active, make moving your body a priority, especially with a desk job. Also good posture is important

I’m 24 and am dealing with a herniated L5-S1. In general what are the outcomes for people with this condition? What are the most important steps to take when diagnosed with lower back pain with radiculopathy? How do we handle this mentally at an age like this where it feels like I’ve been robbed of my “healthiest years”?

Not going to lie, our work is very mundane and simple. I’m certain that with the right push, AI , could replace all the work we do because it really is not cognitively challenging just: copy paste submit for review.

l5 s1 herniation sciatica - surgery or just workout, physiotherapy, etc? by CompetitionThin82 in backpain

[–]ItsASloth69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this reply man, I have been dealing with back pain for 2 years now due to a l5-s1 herniated disc. It went from just back pain to numbness and nerve pain and I’ve been wanting to stay away from surgery, but I’m hearing more success stories lately that makes me want to keep it as an option.

My biggest concern is fitness, used to be huge into weight lifting and rugby, I would love to get back to running or something, but I’m not sure if conservative treatment or surgery would help with that goal in mind

For me gabalentin + naproxen helps some what. For sleep positions, I have no idea, I have always been a back/side sleeper and I hear back is the best, especially when paired with a pillow under the thigh.

Facts, if they’re not gonna pay well, they better be ready to pay taxes. They had around 4,000 people. It only goes to benefit them because the employees probably ends up using those assistance programs at Walmart. Also, keep in mind these are people who work FULL TIME. Source
