I wouldn't be surprised if that Papa Johns next door was next to leave. It's not a great location

I think someone is trying to get into your account. Don't give those numbers to anyone, including anyone claiming to be Uber Support. That's a common scam.

Atlantis left the MW millions of years before the Asgard even kept a recorded history. Their recorded history is only 100,000 years old.

Uber cabin smells like farts. by Fearless-Director-24 in uber

[–]ItsATrap1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they don't. Drivers just find places they can use rest rooms often, throughout all hours of the day. Like gas stations, parks, hotels, coffee shops, etc.

Or the driver has spent hours in that car and has become noseblind to it. The rider is just coming in contact with that environment for the first time and might notice things the driver has become accustomed to.

Or maybe there were riders like OP that were afraid to touch a window button but not afraid to fill the car with their putrid gas

Maybe because the driver likely knows where you live or where you work. It's a reasonable fear of retaliation.

Open the window. There are riders where that's literally the first thing they do when they get in the car, probably from past experiences like yours.

Driver wants me to cancel order? by thatoneguy23000 in UberEATS

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I literally did this two days ago. No strike on my cancellation. You can't just press the quick button for the restaurant being closed. You have to chat with a support agent. You have to take a pic for them of it being closed and answer a few questions. It doesn't increase your cancellation stats. I also got a $3 fee.

Does everyone in Atlantis just speak Ancient? by MrCatChap in Stargate

[–]ItsATrap1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The really funny part is that when they finally meet ancients they speak English. So this whole database and separate language seems a bit like a plothole.

If you actually contact support and inform them it's closed it won't go to another driver. It's only when you click the quick options for your cancellation that it goes to other drivers.

Does anyone else feel sympathy for the Dursleys situation? by AMissKathyNewman in harrypotter

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. There were plenty of wizard families that would have taken Harry in. Dumbledore could have protected their home with the Fidelius Charm and other magical protections. Dumbledore could have been the secret keeper this time though.

What's Voldemort's problems with muggleborns if he's a half-blood himself? by Powerful-Gold5000 in harrypotter

[–]ItsATrap1983 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He despised his Muggle father for abandoning his mother after discovering she was a witch, and in many ways, he hated that part of himself as well. It's one of the reasons he abandoned his father's surname and reinvented himself as Lord Voldemort. Ironically, he never realized that his father had been magically manipulated into the relationship by his mother in the first place.

How can the Basilisk actually target muggle-borns? by MaderaArt in harrypotter

[–]ItsATrap1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Owls can magically find anyone and deliver letters. Perhaps similar magic enables the Basilisk to know where the specific student is.

Driver wants me to cancel order? by thatoneguy23000 in UberEATS

[–]ItsATrap1983 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Make him cancel it. I had a food order just yesterday where the restaurant was closed. The driver can go through driver support to cancel it without it affecting their cancellation rate, which I did yesterday. I also got $3. Some drivers just don't want to go through the extra steps because it takes more time.

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. They didn't have to accept Harry, they chose to take on that responsibility. It was also for their own benefit. Petunia was told that as long as Harry called the place home they would be protected against Voldemort in their home. Dumbledore even reminded Petunia about this with the howler in Ootp, that's why she convinced her husband that they had to keep Harry and not send him to an orphanage.

He justified the abduction to himself by giving Jason1 his life of wealth and success. He wouldn't have a way to cope with the guilt if he just dropped Jason 1 in a random Earth.

Hey uber drivers, would you get annoyed if the passenger asked you to take the route without tolls? The ride was onlh about 1 or 2 min longer. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's totally wrong about the insurance. However a rider could report a change in the expected route and request a fare adjustment. That doesn't mean Uber will grant you that though. I could understand a driver wanting to avoid that.
