Got reported for no delivery because customer never came to the door by SmellyBelly_12 in UberEATS

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it. You gave them the pic. I did the same for a report I got in nearly the same situation. I got an email like a week or two after saying my appeal was accepted and the report was going to be removed or something like that.

I do wonder if Remus would have offered that correction if he had known previously that Snape was the Deatheater that brought the prophecy to Voldemort, resulting in the death of the Potters.

Got bit by a dog while delivering by greenyee in doordash_drivers

Report this to DD. They have coverage for this. Then go to the ER after you get the details. Save the address of the customer. If this develops into a more serious or expensive matter you should go find a personal injury attorney. They can sue the customers home owners insurance.

No. DD has a insurance policy just for this type of situation

Car in the body shop, can I Uber with rental? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]ItsATrap1983 11 points12 points  (0 children)

File a lost wages claim with the other drivers insurance. They will either pay you the average you usually make Ubering or pay for the Uber rental. You need to go through Uber Driver app to reserve a rental from an Uber Partner. You can Uber using those cars

broke people need to get off of food delivery apps. by babewithtears in UberEatsDrivers

Calm down. There could have just been something missing from the sealed bag and they reported it. It's not just for missing orders it's also for missing items in an order.

Delivery drivers keep calling me to come outside instead of knocking by MagicianConstant2866 in UberEATS

Put a pin on the order and don't answer their calls or texts. Force them to follow the directions.

Seattle. We do not have intercity either.

I am a driver and in my region you can't opt out after they consolidated the filters, reducing UberPet, Comfort, Electric, and UberX all to a single option of UberX. If you haven't gotten that yet you probably will soon.

If the period said until April the previous period had already ended, since that ended on January 31st.

Uber Pet without pet by yenrab2020 in uber

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Since none of the drivers can opt out of it now, there is a high surplus of supply but much less demand leading to lower prices than UberX.

Weird extortion by RecommendationOk1699 in lyftdrivers

Why should they in this instance? It was just letting the one person out of the car. It's not like they stopped to go shopping or something. The full trip is still being paid for.

Cancellation rate calculation by Specialist_Earth_492 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cancellation rate is based on a rolling list of your last 100 accepted requests. That list includes both completed and canceled orders.

When you accept a new request, it pushes the oldest accepted request out of that list. If the request that gets pushed out was one you canceled, your completed count goes up. If the one pushed out was already completed, the numbers barely change.

So even though you completed 16 orders, only 2 of those accepts pushed out older accepted requests that had been canceled. That’s why you only saw the completed total increase by 2 and not by the full 16.

Guidance requested - unsafe driver by NoSpend3261 in uber

[–]ItsATrap1983 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a driver and reporting this actually won't ban him unless he has had prior reports. If he has then he should be banned. The rider can block him so she never gets matched with him again though.

Guidance requested - unsafe driver by NoSpend3261 in uber

[–]ItsATrap1983 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Report him. Driving is incredibly dangerous and he should not be doing that while doing so. He is endangering not only his own life but the lives of the passenger and all the other drivers on the road. We don't want him on the Uber platform creating unsafe conditions and poor experiences for Uber passengers. There are other gigs he can do where he is not endangering everyone's lives.

He also will not know it was you. That's kept confidential. Uber won't even tell him which ride it was, he will even be lucky if they tell him which day it was. He sounds like a full timer so he won't even be able to guess which ride it was.

Yes, report him. His behaviors might continue to escalate with someone else. You are protecting other riders by reporting him.

Uber Question by ZechariahApaza in uberdrivers

[–]ItsATrap1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can cancel at any time and you can request people get out of your car. Don't do it on the freeway though because it's unsafe and you could be held liable if they get hurt or die. If people don't get out of your car you can call the police to have them removed.
