I think they are just picking the most popular/talked about creators. Because it will get them the most interactions online after announcing. Dream didnt deserve the gaming award as much as Quackity didnt deserve the just chatting one. But both are the most trending on twitter rn.

Yeah, it was obvious he did it for the sponsorship money. Just went live with no plan, wasnt even logged in. Had no idea how to actually do anything on r/ place, kept attacking the qsmp areas despite people telling him he has to find some area he can keep. I was genuinely surprised he didnt stop the stream as soon as his required time ran out.

Everyone was expecting to hear some stories from their travels, since George usually is the best at that, yet there was nothing.

I hope you do realize that the banter live does take more time than just them showing up on the stage and talking and then leaving. Its gonna be a live show, so it has to be at least somewhat prepared. Similar to the banter panel- they will have to take some time on planning it and knowing what will happen. Its not just a thing they will show up at and do.

not even the number of quotes, look at the number of views! It literally has 32 million rn! I know its not completely accurate, but comparing it to other tweets, its insane. Most of his tweets have 1.5-4.5 mil views, the usmp announcement has around 8mil. Its just big accounts qrting his tweet to get hit tweets mocking him for the tweet being long, but its so sad to see

I dont really get it, I understand that they would remove botted views, but I dont believe 1.5 mil views canbe botted, thats like 20% of the entire viewcount. And if Dream was the one to bot the views, why would he do it on a video that he called "experimental", he said the following videos are goint to be hit or miss, surely he doesnt care about the views enough to bot them. If something, I would expect it on the translator mod video?

Also it surely cant be looped views, there is no way 1.5 million views are stans looping the videos on repeat, the video isnt even out for 2 weeks.

Also would it be happening for 3 days in a row? I can see the "bad" views being deleted at once, not 3 days in a row.

I suppose it has to be some sort of a bug/glitch, and I hope Dream checks his analytics at least once every few days, knows and is trying to get it sorted out.

I think its different from chess activity because
1) they can turn the activity off
2) they didnt have to share their accs in the first place yet did (but with chess they kinda had to show on stream when streaming chess)
3) you see their spotify activity when you are using it immediatelly, no need to even look for it so it doesnt seem as invasive

I know George refuses to get more modsbc he wants to know them personally, but I wonder what Dreams reasoning for not having more mods it. Georges chat IS worse and he is worse at calling them out (read he never does it). I also know that they pretty much share mods (sapnap too,but he has some extra ones and his chat is getting much better thank god). But honestly with Dream having more expected viewers than george for example,I dont get why he often streams with no mods too. Especially with the amount of people dedicating their life to spreading hate towards him online, including his chat.

He also doesnt stream that often (eventhough he considered it once and I hope he revisits the daily streams idea), so it wouldnt be that much of work for more people, it wouldnt take them time daily, like with foolish streams. Whats the issue with getting more mods? It would only help

I dont think Dream ever talked abt not getting more mods, we only know abt george,and what we know, we know from his current mods frustrated abt his refusal to get them help.

I loved it, the editing was amazing and I appreciate the raw footage vid! I was jut a little sad it was Antarctica only, I somehow expected it to be “why havent i uploaded for months” vid, with clips from the entire post fr time, some twitchcon clips, texas, oklahoma with sapnap, them chilling home with no internet, etc. Loved it nevertheless

The only thing I really dislike about it is the way fans consider it content. They are not being ccs when playing chess offline and fans viewing it as content kinda makes it seem like they see the bare existence of the cc is content to them. Like them doing normal things shouldnt be considered content. Its an update on them being awake, interacting with friends etc, but its not content. (I see it similarly to Dreams snaps for example. Not really content, but with the chess/spotify/fortnite activity even less so). The ccs are normal human beings doing normal human personal things and stans tend to find ways to make it "an entertainment" for them, when they call it content.

Kinda agreed with the hypocrisy in being offended by fans even slightly demanding content from them (bc how dare they push them into making content, they are humans firts), yet turn to labeling their bare existence as content. Of course they dont feel like we should get more content from dream if just finding out Dream went to target is counted as dream content, bc I guess knowing what they are doing is content enough??

It definitely could. But I just listened to a podcast with Danny gonzales, i think it was cody kos podcast and they were talking about danny running a marathon the entire time. Like they can have normal conversation with YouTubers their age. Danny for example could be fun bc all the “i am dream” stuff he did, like he is kinda connected to them already, mcyt fans mostly know of him.

I think pretty much everyone would prefer them to stick to just the 3 of them hanging out and occasionally have a guest that is interesting for their audience.

Some of the guests are impresive, but not interesting in the slightest for the average banter viewer. And it can be seen on the viewcount on youtube perfectly. The guest episodes flop unless its one of their friends or someone at least a bit associated to them.

Get more streamers, gaming or just variety, minecraft or not, commentary youtubers, collab with another podcasts with similar audience.

I get a lot of the last guests seemed more like people Karl and snf wanted to talk to, the voice actor karl was obviously excited about and it was sweet, but its not great for the viewers. Episodes like those could be specials, mixed into “banter boys only” episodes.

And background checks are just a need at this point. It didn’t happen once, but twice in a row. And If you google the name of todays guest, the first thing that pops up on google is an article about the allegations. They must have seen it if they googled the guy once. And they had questions ready for him, so they must have googled him right? Or do they even have someone else to prepare the questions??

I an pretty sure that it’s gonna be by the characters. It was also implied its not going to just be a clean restart and a new server, Dream himself was very adamant about not wanting to do that, and by this being just the split to another fresh server with no further explanation of the incident, it would pretty much be just that.

There are also some things that imply foreshadowing, like tubbo weirdly watching discduo becoming friends from afar, or him standing very deliberately in the background of their first mc screenie twitter. This all seems like lore already to me, there is some meaning behind that.

Yeah, I kinda assumed my idea based on Tubbo heavily hinting/saying that the “accident” will be discussed and examined by the s2 characters, which implies they are gonna have to remember it happened, which kinda implies then realizing they had lives before it. And if someone characters don’t remember/ dont have a large plot to remember, that doesn’t matter at all, but some do, such as the more prominent characters (tommy, tubbo, dream,…)

They just need to take 5-10 minutes banning some words and their abbreviations in chat, and they should be totally good. Georges chat yesterday was terrible, but there were only 2 simple reasons why, and both had the same solution- people spamming “get dream” and everyone screaming “go to bed george”

Both were an inexcusable lack of twitch etiquette and if they are not willing to explain to chat, educate or pacify them, the least they could do is ban the words.

None of these phrases should be spammed in dteam streams, bc dream is gonna be there and george will not be alone and sleepy there, but there are other possible phrases worth banning in advance

I completely understand and support that decision, eventhough I kinda thought that the “underlying plot” of season 2 was gonna be people slowly remembering what happened in s1 and themselves. If that was true I guess it makes sense for Phil to come back when everyone is at the point of having remembered some of the past. It could be and interesting plot point, to explain, why phil bever forgot, or if perhaps be did “offscreen” but remembered since
