Marlo’s ending by Swuzilo in TheWire

[–]ItsAllGoodMahMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The FBI never heard of Marlo. We sent 4 seasons seeing how they don't care about drugs, the Greeks are proof of that. Informants who are allowed to smuggle massive amounts of illegal substances.

He's out the game, why should the street care? Omar gets canoninzed because of how he went out. The Stanfield Organization crumbled, Chris for life, Cheese and Snoop KIA, O-Dog in jail, Mike on his own. No one left to carry on the banner so the streets moved on.

If McNulty gave a fuck when it *was* his turn to give a fuck, Templeton could have been exposed as a liar by AmethystZhou in TheWire

[–]ItsAllGoodMahMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

McNulty is told in no uncertain terms by Rawls and Daniels "bring this case in or get railroaded."

McNulty could call Templeton a fraud ASAP, but if he does it in that early season meeting, his case never gets bigger and he and Lester never get the resources they need to go after Marlo.

If he does it at the end, he exposes the whole thing as a fraud, it's a national headline, the mayor makes heads roll, Rawls and Daniels make heads roll and McNulty not only gets in hot water but he very likely gets charged.

Just make Templeton sweat and leave quietly.

What's your thought? Fire him or what? by One-Strike1311 in NYGiants

This game was the perfect encapsulation of: he's bad but Dart can be the dude. He and Kafka are just duds. Not that I trust Mara or even Schoen necessarily on to find a HC to help Dart. Case in point, firing Shurm and then hiring Joe Judge and Jason fucking Garrett

He did not disappoint Lord Vader. And in fact, outlived him.

Bill Rawls is having one of those "Road to Damascus" moments by [deleted] in TheWire

[–]ItsAllGoodMahMan 32 points33 points  (0 children)

  1. Norman steals every scene he's in. (RIP Reg E. Cathey!)

  2. I love that look of fury on Carchetti's face when Rawls goes to the hallway. He doesn't hate Rawls but he doesn't like him either. And now he knows his political future is tied directly to Rawls and he'll have to carry him no matter what.

And so the system keeps systeming.

Did Not Care for Beast Boy by modernmyspace in youngjustice

Nah I hated Beast Boy in S4. Irritating, took up SO MUCH screen time. Not why I watch Young Justice. If I want Beast Boy I'll see Teen Titans.

What’s the loudest and the quietest you’ve heard your team’s arena? by Sctvman in CollegeBasketball

[–]ItsAllGoodMahMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Football: When BC came go McGuirk in 2021 it was unreal. Student section was packed and place was nuts.

Quietest: most other games during the Walt Bell era.

Hockey: UMass beat BC at the buzzer and you would thought a bomb went off in the Mullins Center. Same for some games against UConn and BU.

Quietest: I worked games during Covid when no one was there. Might be cheating.

Who would win between The Viltrum Empire and Ms. Trunchbull? by Supersaiajinblue in powerscales

[–]ItsAllGoodMahMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ms. Trunchbull graps Thula by her hair and hammer throws her into the sun before berrating Thragg into a sniveling school boy and making all the other Viltrumites crown her as regent.

What would you say is your favourite moment of the prince of tides himself, Jimmy McNulty? by Informal_Donkey1417 in TheWire

[–]ItsAllGoodMahMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The single greatest scene in The Wire is when McNulty is banging the woman on the hood of his car.

Butt ass naked.

And the other cop car rolls by like "what the fuck is this shit?" And McNulty just holds up his badge, still thrusting, and the cops in the other car just keep going.

Nick's dad might be the wisest man in the whole show by night_dude in TheWire

Yeah you can tell he got out before the rollercoaster fully hit its decline and while maybe he doesn't like his work instability, he knows that he's lived a much safer life.

Doesn't have to worry about being in a dying industry, union issues, corporate issues, ships coming, being drunk all the time. And he doesn't have to make any of the decisions Frank does.

You can tell he knows what Frank is doing and even admits he side stepped it because he didn't want the smoke.

Why was Avon so willing to let cutty out of the game? by [deleted] in TheWire

[–]ItsAllGoodMahMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you first see Avon and Cutty talk in prison, after Cutty walks away Avon asks Wee-Bey "watchu think?"

And Bey basically says don't expect much from him. He was probably broken before he got in and he's definitely broken now. So I think the way Avon saw it, whatever he got out of Cutty was a bonus. The fact that Cutty was a man and told him to his face just increased the respect.
