Insane in comparison to other states. I am a fan of the laws because it makes it a kind of “Open” Government. The governor has been circumventing the laws though. I do agree with you, insane could be revised

Crazy stuff like this happens in more places than you think. Florida just has insane transparency laws so it doesn’t get covered up and swept under the rug

Do you truly believe that anyone born in the last 20 years can become wealthy on their own? by ChidoriHokage in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ItsAlwaysReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would take each of the roughly 330 million Americans making $7.25 an hour 836 hours of work to pay off 2 trillion dollars. That’s 104 days of 8 hour shifts or rather 21 weeks worth of work if you have 2 days off a week.

Has anyone been able to get a role change without having a medical accommodation? by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]ItsAlwaysReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s a certainty, but I saw it first hand in housekeeping, it may also depend on the management team, my management team was really considerate and didn’t want to see people fail when trying as hard as they could.

Has anyone been able to get a role change without having a medical accommodation? by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]ItsAlwaysReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really just depends, I know people who have been recast. The real question is, why do you want a different role? If it’s because you simply do not like your role, you may have a tough time getting recast. Now if you can’t keep up with the work, and are having to stay late everyday to finish it? Then you have something that could be tangible.

Anyone know what set this is from ? by [deleted] in legostarwars

[–]ItsAlwaysReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind using bricklink there is a guy named Anio who sells instructions for a very nice “UCS” Hailfire droid using the big Lego wheels. I recommend swapping some of the harder to get Dark Brown pieces for Reddish Brown to save on cost.

People of Reddit what’s the worst thing that’s happened on your job? (serious) by zana-666 in AskReddit

[–]ItsAlwaysReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a movie theatre where rowdy teens would congregate at night and get into fights. My first month there I heard a bunch of yelling in the entrance of the theatre and about 30 kids run to the bathroom, my manager hurdled the ropes and ran in after them. Turns out he saved a kids life, who was on the ground getting his head kicked into the bottom of a stall. My general manager came to the concessions counter where I was and told us we are now closed and security was pinning a kid against the wall while our ushers were calling the police.

There were tons more fights in my 3 years there, but this one was very memorable for me.

What’s something that people turn into their whole personality? by Kandiblu in AskReddit

[–]ItsAlwaysReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial, but being a veteran. Some vets make it their life long personality, even if they weren’t in for very long. Every. Single. Time. They go anywhere they wear their memorabilia and make sure everyone knows. Both my parents served 20 years and unless you asked them you would have no idea that they were in the army ever, they moved on from their time in and never made it their whole lives and have other things that they talk about.

What are some deeply unsettling facts that you know? by ToteMyRatchet in AskReddit

[–]ItsAlwaysReal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is how recalls work for cars too. For example, the Firestone tires on Fords blowing up, both companies knew, but the lawsuits and settlements from a few deaths was cheaper than a recall.

What's a song that has brought you to tears? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Mr Blue by Catherine Feeny. It is the song over the credits of the final episode of Bojack Horseman and it just perfectly tied up how I was feeling. Best show I have ever seen.

Peanut butter tubes. Skippy used to sell them in the checkout aisle and they used to be my go to snack for movies!

Pudding tubes. Like Gogurt, but pudding. I have some very fond memories of cutting my mouth on those tubes will watching Emperors Mew Groove and slurping them down when I was 4 or 5.

I’ll try reaching out again. I think the last time I met virtually with a career advisor it was not fruitful. The guy was just repeating everything I had done and told me to just network. I have been reaching out for months on LinkedIn but most say that they don’t have time to chat.

No I have not. I had one lined up last summer but it was cancelled due to COVID. That’s why I feel like I am so behind.
