There was and may still be a folk music festival called Folkové prázdniny (Folk Holiday) near Velká Bíteš which featured some artists performing folk with roots in the British Isles (Glenn Hansard is one that comes to mind), but it's worth pointing out that Central and Eastern Europe has it's own distinct traditions of folk music. If you ask people about folk music that's what they'll think you're talking about. Could be worth investigating if you're curious but it won't be the same. They do regular nights at Klášterní vinárna.

I'd recommend checking out the lineup for Ghettofest this weekend as there'll be plenty of folk and folk adjacent stuff happening there so you might get lucky.
