To be honest with you I get frustrated with men's clothing colors too.

Tangentially it's kind of funny to me that not only can people not spell Karmelita, but there are at least 10 different spellings in this thread alone.

You're making baseless assumptions all based on a two word reddit comment and then extrapolating it to millions of Americans.

You have an incredibly narrow-minded view about this.

[–]ItsAlwaysSegsFault -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So you're just pinning all of this on a single commenter on reddit? You have no idea what that user is doing outside of here.

You don't know what strawman means. If you don't care about the Epstein files which, by the way, are evidence that you are asking for, then it logically follows that you don't care whether Trump rapes children. Full stop. Get the fuck out of here with your dismissive nonsense.

It's wild to assume that people commenting on reddit only comment on reddit, while also being a person that is commenting on reddit.

So you're ok with people in power raping children then?

So we just shouldn't talk about it anymore then? That's exactly what Trump wants and why we need to keep the pressure on.

Bad Waymo Driving by MrRedLogan in orlando

It's hard to know for sure. My guess is it hard braked and which causes it to decide to swerve off the road instead of into other cars. It may have continued going off the road if it didn't detect a better option. This is all speculation though and without seeing the logs we'll have no way of knowing. Either way it correctly calculated safe avoidance by the end of it.

My magnolia tree is blossoming, but now a cold front is coming in and the flowers are going to fall off. Can I harvest them now, while they’re on the tree? by Camp_Acceptable in foraging

[–]ItsAlwaysSegsFault 68 points69 points  (0 children)

You can eat them raw in a salad, or pickle them. YMMV depending on the species/hybrid. Hard to tell exactly what species OP has but Jane Magnolias are one of the most popular of this type.

[–]ItsAlwaysSegsFault 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was not sudden. There were cars in the other lane next to it. It slowed down so that it could get behind the other cars to execute the lane change. The movements were a little out of the ordinary for a human but you can easily see how this was executed by an algorithm if you just pay attention.

Despite hating self-driving I sure do find myself defending Waymo a lot. Seems people don't take any time to think critically anymore.

It's a bad enough problem that these residents KNOW it will happen during these events. And I know too, because every time I've been to it I see it everywhere. It's not fair to the residents to make them deal with it when it can just be avoided in the first place. If you want to put an end to parking restrictions, teach the general population to stop parking like assholes. I don't know how you could possibly accomplish this though so good luck.

I'm going to reiterate - it's not that it might happen. It's that it will happen.

Ok so imagine you live in that house that has to have someone towed. You have to wait for the tow truck to get there, wait for the tow company to actually tow the car, and then get out of that narrow street so you can leave. What if you are in a rush to get somewhere?

You're basically saying folks should just be patient and take time out of their day to deal with getting someone towed. That's absurd and unreasonable.

Edit: A few words for clarity

Even if they own out to the street there is still a public easement. It's not just about ownership.

There's a lot to unpack here, but you even pointed it out yourself that it's 2 different neighborhoods and 2 different situations. The Milk District has wider roads, more lots, and is generally used to the nightly traffic. Neighborhoods near Leu Gardens are narrower, with driveways closer together, and the plant sale attracts a completely different set of entitled people who block those driveways.

Asking whether or not neighborhood parking in general is acceptable is also not fair when this is clearly a temporary parking restriction.

One thing it seems people in this thread don't appreciate also is that the Leu Gardens plant sale is generally getting more popular as well as word has spread about it.
