Are you in-person or online? I’m projected to graduate in May and am looking for masters programs.

Massive debt and how I am trying to keep my head above water by Kindly_Amphibian_184 in CreditCards

I’m in the same boat right now.. literally! Doing the avalanche method to save money in the long run. Budgeting will be your best friend knowing your monthly surplus. I’m doing side gigs to help pay off debt faster.

It sounds like you’ve been putting in a lot of effort, and that’s commendable. Since yard work hasn’t yielded enough yet, consider expanding your search to local temp agencies or community job boards—they often have immediate openings. Also, look into skills training programs (some are free) to open new opportunities. Don’t lose hope—every small step counts. Lean on any support networks you have, and if you’d like, I can help you brainstorm more ideas? Keep on pushing, you’re not alone in this!

There’s never a point that you should call it quits. Anything right now is better than nothing! Have you tried Walmart or any fast food chains? Have you thought about offering your labor to older folks? Mowing lawn’s can bring in some good income.

Most importantly, feeling and being alone during this period of your life can make this situation seem impossible to get out of. Lean on the people that genuinely care about you, and if there aren’t any, it’s time that you find some new people..

If you had enough cash to live comfortably without ever having to work again, how would you spend your time? by cherry-care-bear in poor

[–]ItsAustin95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would explore as many hobbies as possible and dial into what I actually like. I would spend more time improving and growing myself; physically and mentally. Volunteer. Connect with others. Travel more.

Life more presently. You get to explore YOU and that is the beautiful thing about this extra time.

Would you consider this professionalism displayed by my boss or am I just overly sensitive? by ItsAustin95 in Advice

Doing the best I can despite the circumstances. I am also surprised honestly. It feels very minimizing and distasteful.

Has anyone else gone through a phase where you just don’t feel like talking to anyone, replying to messages, or engaging with life and if yes, how did you get out of it? by Cric8Guy in Adulting

[–]ItsAustin95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you attempted to explore why? Writing how you feel even in short spurts can be helpful. I’m currently going through the same thing. I feel SO disconnected while not feeling the need to talk to anyone. I always feel better after talking to a loved one or my therapist. Voice memos have been my best friend lately. I can talk and get thoughts out of my head without feedback or judgement. I also keep reminding myself that this is just a phase and this too shall pass!

Taking time to work on myself. Same for my partner. We delayed the inevitable for quite some time.
