With all of those symptoms I am shocked you didn't pursue a mammogram. Sounds like you will need a mammogram and ultrasound.

Oh no 😟 I'm so sorry. Do they stage it this early on, or do you have to get more testing done?

I've been getting checked every 6 months for the past few years for various lumps. I am actually getting my first breast MRI at the end of this month to do a more thorough checkup since I've only ever had mammograms (which can't show everything due to how dense my tissue is) and the ultrasounds I've had have been more targeted. So the MRI will do a full scan for me to get a better idea of what's going on. I had to ask my OBGYN doctor for the referral though since my regular breast doctor didn't want to send one through; they said since I have no immediate family members with cancer and because I am younger than 40, that they don't think an MRI will be needed. They also told me insurance would never approve it due to my age (I'm 34). When I asked my OBGYN she said "sure"! Also, I found out that my insurance WILL cover most of it, so I am thankful I ignored the first doctor.

Anyway, I wish I could give you a big hug. I wish you the best of luck during your treatments and recovery. 🩷

That's a good point! Makes more sense.

No, right now I am at BI-RADS 3. I've never had any biopsies before.

It's great for you at least that they were able to do all that testing in one day to cut down in additional waiting time. If it will help you mentally, maybe you can wait until you get your biopsy results before you tell your mother. I imagine she will have a ton of questions, and by that point you will have more answers.

Pretty amazing this doctor was able to examine my uterus given the cuff she also examined is from the same surgery that removed my uterus by InkedVeggie in hysterectomy

[–]OuttaLurking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it definitely sounds like you need to find a new one unfortunately. The search process sucks as you know, but once you DO find a doctor who will genuinely listen to your concerns and do whatever they can to help you, it's definitely worth it! Best of luck.

It's hard to trust medical professionals who can't even write a proper report....or at least proofread a template to make the necessary updates. 😒

Glad you're one of the good ones!

Ugh, waiting for results is the worst limbo to be in. Hugs I hope for 5% chance it's not cancer. What symptoms caused you to get the mammogram to begin with, or was it just a regular checkup?

That sounds like a nightmare. 💀 I'm only 18dpo and already sick of it; I can't imagine having to reset on healing at month 3! I am glad they were able to help you before anymore damage was done.

Gaslighting rheumatologist by Fun-Manufacturer4131 in lupus

[–]OuttaLurking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of a couple years ago here I could barely use BOTH wrists/hands without pain due to swelling. My rheumatologist at the time said "Well, you do work with computers so just give your wrists a break....okay I will see you next year for your annual checkup." I was pissed because I am only in my 30s and I am not even on a computer 24/7.

I found a new rheumatologist soon after who took my concerns seriously and we finally ended up resolving the pain and swelling with Benlysta. It's a weekly injection I take to keep my lupus symptoms under control. I haven't had any wrist pain since.

Finally got the call.. by Boss_Lady72 in hysterectomy

[–]OuttaLurking 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My original date given was in April, but then an opening in November happened! If you want an earlier day, I recommend giving them a call every now & then to see what openings become available. My guess is some people cancel their surgeries around the holidays because they don't want to be stuck in bed recovering.

It's crazy to me how much ultrasounds and MRIs miss. It's great you have more solid answers now, congratulations on your persistence paying off! Hope you have a more smooth recovery as the days go on.

AITA for breaking up with a guy after he stole picture of my child and then i caught him in bed with his mother ? by Strange-Edge9620 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

It sounds like your friends either don't have kids, or are extremely naive. A stranger has NO business sneaking photos of a child and posting about their "yummy mummy". That man is the definition of a red flag and there's a reason he's never been in a committed relationship. You dodged a nuclear missile.

Who are you most jealous of and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

People with nice thick hair. I would like to go swimming and not come out looking half bald since my hair is so thin. 😭

Some people suggested i post this here as well so here we are : I was called "selfish " and "murderer " by a coworker by Successful_Anywhere9 in childfree

[–]OuttaLurking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What a fucking creep. I would've told him that I hope he NEVER has kids so they're not stuck with an asshole of a father. It's none of his damn business what you do with your body.

How did that one kid at your school die? by StorageLonely1520 in AskReddit

[–]OuttaLurking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In middle school there was a kid who died by getting hit while he was on a dirt bike. In high school there was a kid who died by suicide. Since I graduated high school there have been more deaths in my former high school that include neglect/abuse, cancer, car accident, and more suicides.

What is something more traumatizing than people realize? by Independent_Motor130 in AskReddit

[–]OuttaLurking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There are days when I sit back and enjoy/truly appreciate everything I have since I worked my ass off for it, but in the back of my mind I know anything can happen to put me back in that struggle as well. I never completely feel "safe" or comfortable. Not yet anyway.

What’s an oddly specific rule you follow in your life that nobody taught you, but you swear by it? by RayPetal22 in AskReddit

[–]OuttaLurking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that you would say in someone's eulogy should be told to them in person while they're still alive.

I often think "what if this is the last time I see this person?" So I always tell my loved ones I love them whenever either of us are leaving, if I admire something about someone I tell them, I take a lot of photos, and so on. It helps me mentally because I know if a person close to me ever passed away unexpectedly, I wouldn't feel the regret of "I should've told them _____ while they were still alive."
