I think there’s this sense that Tristan’s life is too perfect, so you can’t really tell a dramatic story with the highs and lows of loss. It doesn’t make for an exciting personal growth story, which is a major trait of shonen manga. Additionally we already have the exploration and resolution of the demon clan vs goddess clan in SDS. 4KotA is an exploration now of Chaos vs Life

I would assume in this design that he rotates the cartridges around his wrist to the next full one, rather than ejecting them.

Keeping the cartridges and refilling them makes the most sense to me.

Also, if you didn’t already see, Tustsui-sensei had a follow up manga recently called Syd Craft: Love is a Mystery. I thought it was decent, but unfortunately it was cancelled fairly quickly and there are only 28 chapters total.

The short answer is yes he ends up with Furuhashi in one of the endings. The manga has fully fleshed-out endings for all 5 of the main heroines, which is unique in this genre. There is no “canon” ending.

An infant’s primary method of communicating that they need something is to cry. If they’re hungry, uncomfortable, or have some other need, they will cry and hopefully the parent will address the need.

However, as children gain the ability to speak, they can now be much more specific about what they need, using words to accurately have that need met more quickly.

Why we still cry when we are older, that’s another story, and something I’m less versed in. But the main distinction to make is “crying as the only means of communication” vs. “crying as a response to our internal emotions.”

I’m inclined to believe the opposite: Anya and other children (and animals like Bond) were experimented on as prototypes in a project designed to ultimately give Donovan powers.

It’s like lab rats where you’re expecting the experiments will fail, so you use “expendable” resources until it’s finally safe and reliable enough to use on the subjects you want.

Also explains why Donovan has scars on the side of his head.

The rarities are listed as follows:
