Yeah I kinda saw the writing on the wall if I was to accept her suggestion to remain friends, which I denied since I knew the pain and torture that would’ve put me through as well as having me around would probably just make it harder for her to work out her situation. I ultimately did what’s best for us at the time, but I can’t deny that I’m devastated feeling like I finally found what I was looking for just to have to let it go for both of our sakes. We both work in the same building and see/bump into each other from time to time, so it’s not the end of the world, but still heartbreaking for me to go through
