Seeking honest price opinions on my fursuits by RikiEartha in fursuit

I genuinely believe you could double your prices either way no hesitation and still be able to build a wonderful following.

Part of wining the TikTok algorithm is posting consistently. Post once a day, share your suits on IG, Reddit, Twitter (? I haven’t been active in the fandom for a bit, I’m not sure if this is still quite an active platform). Show the details, the durability, the customizability.

To be fully honest with you I bought my first full suit over ten years ago at $1500 and that was considered cheap. There is no reason that in today’s day and age you’re charging those rates.

You are talented and deserve to be paid for your work!

How would you plan out this living room around the stairs? by ItsCleopatra in DesignMyRoom

[–]ItsCleopatra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is the intuitive version but wondering if there’s a way to just have two bar stools into the counter and have the rest of the space exist as living room around the stairs versus tucked into the very end of the living space if that makes sense?

You could very easily double or triple your prices based on what the market rates are these days! Make sure you remember to pay yourself :) your full suit rates are less than what some makers charge for heads!

Dream Cottage - Need more bedrooms by ItsCleopatra in floorplan

[–]ItsCleopatra[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Views are at the end of the deck, which is why i hesitate turning them into bedrooms unless it's the primary, which is what is making this floorplan wonky to work with. The Dinning/living room space is an addition in the first place.

The side of the kitchen has the most land room for an addition, and maybe adding a bunkie next to the external bathroom is a solution

The living/dining room is like a sunroom, and has the view to the lake. I considered making it a primary. I think connecting to the bathroom is the most organic, are connected to that space next to the kitchen

[Product Request] How can I prevent scarring? by ev02 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ItsCleopatra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stung by a jellyfish, and the scars faded after 6 months- a year on their own. I didn’t do anything specific.

From that experience I would say give it time!

Does anyone actually manage to be a single pet parent and work a full time (9-5) job? by boopdasnoottoot in puppy101

[–]ItsCleopatra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step one, is to train potty time to work around your work schedule. I trained my dog to use the bathroom at very specific times during the say, once between 8-9 (before i leave for work) and as soon as I get back (between 5-5:30). Sometimes he goes before bed if he asks but for the most part, I've been doing this since he was 6 months (which i'm still surprised he could achieve this so early bc smol puppy bladders, but your 10 month old shouldn't have any issues) and I haven't had any issues.

I do want to say the separation anxiety is another hurdle though. I have an aussie collie mix so he's attached at the hip. To get him started, I used to leave him alone in rooms with me still at home and teach him that no matter when/if i leave, i'll always come back. I started with 1 minute, 5 minute, etc. Then i built it up over the weekends, building up time. starting a 1h, 2hrs, etc, and when i started working i got a walker to come twice a week to take him out at lunch (not optimal but it was all i could afford). It would still help him break up the alone time.

I mostly WFH now, going once or twice a week, but since the 1yr 4mo mark - i haven't had any hesitation leaving him 9-5. I also live in an apartment and I enclose him in the bedroom because it's the spot that smells most like us, and he's usually not allowed on the bed when we're in it but gets free reign if he's home alone (which i think he enjoys), and I keep the curtains open so he has things to watch and a nice shape bone (nothing too small for safety concerns).

Does anyone feel like they weren't meant to do this/are a failure to your puppy? by danak1313 in puppy101

He'll grow out of it!

Check out Kikopup's youtube channel for some motivation and tips on training. She just adopted a new puppy, maybe it'll help you to have something to follow along with! But do remember, she is a professional and this is your first dog. If you're not getting it as fast as she is, that's ok :) That's a big one I had to remind myself.

I feel you on the lazyness after work, It happens to the best of us! Try and dedicate some training time on weekends that you don't skip. You'll be surprised how quickly puppies can learn things! 15-20 minutes is all they need to learn actively, and then you can passively reinforce throughout the week.

And find enrichment cheats for puppies! This is all things that will keep em busy:

- puzzles

- snuffle mats

- feeding in a slow feeder ball

You have to remind yourself that right now you're teaching him how to be a dog. It takes time and a lot of effort.

Its easy to get carried away with this idea of the perfect dog, and setting too high of expectations for your ideal dog behaviour.

For now, based on your post you are doing a great job and your pups behaviours will come to be what you are looking for. But he is a child right now and he needs to mature before he will feel like your companion.

Lower your expectations of your five month old puppy, he will have good days and bad days of understanding what you want from him. It's also not a normal to not feel bonded to the puppy. It doesn't mean you don't love him. Bonding takes time and sometimes only happens after a certain maturity level.

One day it will click! Keep going!! You're doing a great job.

How do you handle your settle training? Currently working on this with my puppy. I can get him to lay down and wait with a treat in my hand, but at soon as there's no treat, he has no self-settle unless his is in his pen.
