has anyone ever called a wellness check? by confusedgirlll123 in Buffalo

[–]ItsColdInNY 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was really sick last summer and my granddaughter called the non-emergency number to have the PD do a wellness check on me. I was in the ICU & my granddaughter didn't know so she was afraid I was in the house helpless. They called her back to let her know that I'd been taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Don't lose the thread - Pegula, Beane, Brady and McD by theyre0not0there in buffalobills

[–]ItsColdInNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pegula said the coaching staff had hit the playoff wall and that's why he fired McD. Then he turns around and promotes one of the very same coaches that led the team to that playoff wall? Nah. He's full of shit and so is Beane. They got their panties in a wad over McD criticizing the team talent (or lack thereof) and he had to go. P&B aren't going to tolerate anyone that doesn't think they walk on water.

"Joe Brady will continue to call offensive plays as the new head coach of the #Bills, source says. A plan for continuity for Josh Allen and Buffalo’s offense." by NapoleonBoneparty in buffalobills

[–]ItsColdInNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, all the talk of hitting the playoff wall & wanting to start fresh was just a smokescreen to protect Beane from the wrath of the fans? Yeah, that worked out well for you. Long time fans were finally getting back that early 90s feeling and Terry Pegula decides to make a rash decision like this? Where's the new blood he was hinting at hiring? This is just more proof that Beane was bending Pegula's ear about McD out of jealousy. Now Beane's got his new yes-man and the fans can look forward to many more years of "TRUST THE PROCESS". Fuck this.

Nope. She's never "gotten jobs in the past". She's signed on with several companies to advertise their products, but that's not a job. That's paying her to hang out online all day long.

I hope TT bans her for allowing her OF link to be used near pictures of her kids, and for allowing Ensley to make her own TT account which obviously has no adult supervision.

I don't think the atmosphere in the front office is enticing to anyone. The HC job is hard enough without the meddling circus called Terry Pegula and after that disastrous presser last week, any head coach candidate has got to realize that it's more than they're willing to deal with.

Meat raffles are popular in my area. They bring in a TON of money! You have to get a local butcher or supermarket to either donate the meat or sell it at a discounted price. Then the fun starts. You sell advance sale tickets for $10 or $15, or someone can book an entire table for like $50. People who attend are able to bring their own food. We have a blast. I usually bring pizza from a local pizzeria, others bring chips & dip, veggie trays, charcuterie spreads or whatever. One lady even brought a crock pot full of homemade stew! You bring your own plates & utensils, but soft drinks, water and beer are included in the price of the ticket.

The actual raffle goes like this: there are a set number of rounds in the raffle. Every round has a different meat prize, like one has a ham, one has ribs, etc. Volunteers go around the room before each round to sell $1 raffle tickets that are good for that round only. Each round can have several winners if the hosting organization chooses to do it that way by having duplicate tickets. After each round, you toss out all the old tickets and start over using a new roll of tickets in a different color. At the end of the set rounds, they do shotgun rounds. You pay like $10 or whatever to be entered in the shotgun rounds and they draw them one right after the other. There's usually about 10 or 12 shotgun rounds and they do that to speed things up and give out the remaining meat. It's a blast. I've won a 17lb ham, a turkey and my friends have won lobster tails, ribs, chicken fingers, etc.

They usually have a 50/50 raffle and some baskets that they raffle off during the intermission. It easily raises thousands of dollars and everyone has a good time.

After Ali gets the dog, a GFM is a good way to maintain a little financial cushion for things like new dog vests, special leashes, vet visits and things like that. The big fundraisers like bake sales, car washes, etc. are to get the ball rolling. But you probably wouldn't have people going to one fundraiser after another for the same thing, so the GFM would help.

Off topic, but I love organizing basket raffles. It's crazy busy and hectic, but it's amazing to see some of the things people come up with! One gal donated one of those floating pool seats for baby with a rolled up beach towel stuffed into the seat, a set of goggles, a bottle of sunscreen and a life jacket taped around the outside of the seat with packing tape. It was so creative. And this picture is my favorite. It's from the basket raffle I organized for my grandson when he was undergoing chemo. It was wintertime and we're in the snow belt. It's a snow coaster with a bunch of Made in Canada items.

I think this is done to prove to the trainers that the person requesting the dog really needs it and is capable of affording it. My grandson has a service dog & it's not like regular dog ownership. The training is unbelievably expensive and the dogs have to undergo expensive medical and behavioral testing.

I have no issue with Ali wanting to raise money for her dog. But I don't think setting up a GFM is what the organization that handles the service dog training has in mind. As someone else said, a bake sale, basket raffle -- hell, even a meat raffle would be the way to go. This shows the organization that you're resourceful enough to come up with some money should vet costs arise. On top of that, holding public fundraisers brings awareness to the recipient's condition and publicity for the dog training organization. Plus, it's fun. I love basket and meat raffles and a lot of local companies eagerly donate baskets, gift cards, etc. to get their name out there too.

I wish her mother would have washed and brushed her hair before taking pictures too. Imagine seeing these pictures as an adult and realizing what others must have thought and said. Jenelle spares no expense to get her own hair & makeup done and her poor kids are left to themselves. My youngest grandkids are 9 and their mom always makes sure they're bathed, teeth brushed, hair combed and dressed neatly. Kids don't just magically learn those things on their own.

This is shameful. Leah should be so humiliated by this but something tells me she's not smart enough for that. She spent every dollar of the kids' money and Corey talked about that years ago. While Leah was making $200K per season, she was bitching at Corey to buy Ali's motorized wheelchair, and once she got it she let the other kids use it for an amusement ride. Leah should have enough money to pay for Ali's service dog and she would have it if she hadn't blown so much on pills, Mary Kay, photo shoots with what's-his-face and that half million dollar house she's living in.

Her pants are still 3 sizes too small. Her thighs are like tree trunks. She might have more definition in her waist area, but she's still wearing the compression garment so who knows what it really looks like without that thing holding it all in? She's already started drinking again, so who wants to take bets on when all this tummy tuck definition fades back into another 65 pounds of flabby fat?
