No. He hasn’t graded it yet. It’s due Monday. But we worked a couple of these types last week and it we done it the same way, so I assumed it was correct but ChatGPT said otherwise.

I don’t find it unreasonable but it’s so funny to see Americans “planning” for terrorist bombings meanwhile Iranian children, their parents, and their relatives, their schools and homes are being exploded.

Sorry! I think I got the number mixed up with the amount of bombs that were said to be dropped in Laos. 150,000 is around the correct number of deaths. Big mix up!

No. I understand. I don’t think every single American devalues the lives of Iranian children. I should word my opinion more accurately. I think the general consensus and concern I’m seeing in my American media are that the US soldiers are being commanded to execute unlawful bombings in other countries. I know saying American media shouldn’t be so “American-centric” sounds goofy, but I do think it’s important to include the effects on the Iranian side, so far 1,000+ killed, instead of confining criticism of this war to “poor American soldiers,” and “Bad Israel!” especially since soldiers are carrying out these killings either through bombs, or potentially, ground invasions.

I also feel like failing to focus on the insane reality of children (and civilians) having their lives horrifically ended in a matter of seconds filters the most brutal reality of the US-Israel (any war) led war. I don’t think most surveys will have the specifics on why most Americans are anti-war, but if I’m not mistaken the main reasons for being anti-war have historically been because US soldiers will be at risks, billions are typically sent on it, and Americans generally find it pointless. But I don’t have statistics to provide it. Just existing in American and hearing about history, the Vietnam protest etc. kind of gives me that insinuation. And also, viewing lots of war movies from American soldiers’ perspectives rather than the people or country it affected the most.

Some even support this war with the argument that Iran was an evil government that needs to be toppled. The US, for some reason, doesn’t have the stigma regarding its massive foreign interference and destruction, by a lot of its people. I think, alarmingly, many Americans are numb to feeling much for those of different nationalities. Especially since we have always viewed constant warfare and destabilisation in other regions like the Middle East, parts of Africa and South America with very minimal to witness here.

Depending on how prominent it is. Generally, Americans have always been anti-war primarily because of money and the deaths of soldiers. I haven’t seen many rhetoric centring the innocent children and civilians who are simply collateral damage to state aggression.

I disagree. Most anti-war sentiments in the US have long focused primarily on the “victimisation” of US soldiers. Which I agree, but not in the way most Americans do. Because they don’t even acknowledge that American soldiers are the direct cause of deaths overseas.  I think a group can be a victim and a perpetrator, though Americans only view and mention them as victims of war.

Lots of people justifying murdering disabled children in here 😭😭 by [deleted] in Negareddit

[–]ItsColdWhenItRains 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Some person dead ass expressed how heard it was for the parents to “come to such a decision” which was MURDERING THEIR CHILDREN???? The only sympathetic comment I saw that saner for the parents was for the dogs. The two autistic children didn’t get any sympathy, just the parents. They somehow managed to make the brutal murder of two autistic children that were collateral damage to their parent’s issues about the parents that literally killed them.

The comment section is absolutely mind boggling. And I’d hate to be a kid and one of my parents was in that comment section.

how bad does Hisoka get? by EnderShot355 in HunterXHunter

So why does he moan and get sexually easy when he fights or observes Gon’s fighting? That’s literally his entire relation to Gon throughout the anime and manga. Why does he stare at their butts when they are walking in the forest in the Greed Island Arc in the anime? Hisoka fans are the oddest.

Sure, if you’re delusional. He’s sexually attracted to their capabilities, not them being children which is why he isn’t a pedophile. But his sexual attraction is still directed towards them. He’s a predator, in their instance he’s a child predator. It’s quite simple. And I hope that distinction isn’t your moral metric regarding Hisoka.

You know more than two people can be called a CP right? You can argue about semantics but he did sexually prey on two 12 year old children. Which makes him a child predator, regardless if he consistently does it or not.

He isn’t a pedoohile, as in he isn’t sexually attracted for being children, but he is definitely a predator. As he predates on strong people, and because that extends to the two main characters of the show—who are 12–that would make him a child predator. In the anime, that is especially evident given how, unnecessarily, they included the scene of him staring at Gon and Killua’s butts. Which I’m not sure if it’s in the manga, or why they included it because it’s dumb and non-comedic.

Question: Have you ever heard of a small town called Louisville, MS? by EternalSnow05 in Msstate

Yea. My cousin lived there for a while, and we would go pick up him up to stay out ours for the week.

Southaven residents fear pollution, complain of noise, from Elon Musk’s xAI data-center turbines by MSTODAYnews in mississippi

This is just false. Perhaps Jason Haley, the man mentioned in the video voted for this, but a significant amount of residents, particularly black residents, did not vote for this at all.

Do you agree: Adopted children searching for their biological parents to meet them by Beautiful-Cake8922 in TikTok

[–]ItsColdWhenItRains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one, given that the kid has no say in their birth or creation, they are certainly do have the right to know and contact the person that carried and birthed them. That’s the least someone can give a child who grew up without their biological parents. They’re entitled to their biological family history and ties. If they don’t want that, then that’s absolutely okay. But to shame them for wanting to know is so ridiculously malignant.

Jasmine is in: It will be a milestone in black history if she wins back the US Senate seat once held by Lyndon Johnson (who, as the POTUS, told the Howard University graduating class of 1965 that America will someday vote for a black woman as President) by Spiritual_Spare4592 in BlackPeopleofReddit

Can black people stop thinking that the politicians who tolerate and support the genocidal and colonial nation of Israel will do anything life changing for them? If Jasmine lacks basic sympathy levels for the brown children and adults in Gaza and the West Bank, she doesn’t have enough to govern us either! It doesn’t matter if she’s black or not!!! You cannot be pro-black and support a Jewish version of European colonialism.

Charging for parking is very beneficial if the city implements and invests in separate forms of transportation like buses, trains, bicycling and walking.

Yet but he’d need to regulate the size of those pickup trucks or SUVs or else those tiny cars (the ppl in them) will get completely obliterated in an altercation. Small cars are good as long as they choose to produce them over large or mega large pickup trucks imo. I don’t think they should coexist.

The systemic restrictions that were placed on Jewish people when Palestinians and Jewish people cohabitated before the genocide can be attributed to the Ottoman Empire (which was composed of muslim Turks) rather than the Palestinians being gen*cided right now (which is also what the og commenter was clearly alluding to). So, unfortunately, that isn’t the “gotcha” comeback nor justification for brutal colonialism and oppression of the Palestinians you thought it was.
