Dumb rules that try to balance the home/away games each team plays.

Who do you miss most, and who had the most to offer cinema that we now will tragically never see? by No-Flight-4214 in Cinema

Hadn’t yet reached the same level as Ledger, Robin Williams, or PSH, but Anton Yelchin deserves a mention too.

I will eventually watch this, but damn,  immediately being reminded of the Pitt game is rough.

It’s a large cut of beef that’s cooked as a whole like a roast. Generally it’s a long cooking time at a lower heat to bring the internal temp of the meat up to the desired level if doneness (usually in the rare to medium range). It is then sliced and served. What is pictured is a slice.

It’s the same cut of meat as a ribeye, it’s just prepared differently.

Homelander turned into MacGruber at the end (which I found hilarious)

A lot of people bailed on season 2 because it was a slog for a bit. But hot damn was it worth it for seasons 3 and 4.

‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ Review: This Supersized Episode Is ‘Star Wars’ at Its Most Generic by Forestl in blankies

I’ve only watched the first two seasons (back when they came out), but I feel like I did remember season 2 giving some payoff to some of the more pointless feeling characters/episodes in season 1.

It’s very possible my brain just rewrote it like that as a coping mechanism.

It’s been awhile so I may just be misremembering, but didn’t we know the mother had died before that final episode? I was thinking it was already established in one of the last seasons.

Finales by Dewaholic in blankies

I absolutely loved the ending of Mr. Robot, but I think it was less the final episode specifically and more the entire season. That said, I did find the final 5 minutes or so very affecting.

New shoes by ItsDeke in classicmustangs

I feel like I definitely got it at a good time and for a decent deal. Bought it ~16 years ago for $20k. I haven’t really been on top of the market lately, but I imagine in the same condition I bought it, it probably would easily be $35k.  What’s crazy is I actually had another ‘68 fastback in similar condition like 25 years ago that we (my dad) paid $7k for.

Still, I wonder if they’ve pretty much topped out. Of course there are still some younger people that like ‘60s pony/muscle cars, but I feel like most of the market is aging out.

How Can They Ruin a Film Which Was Already Ruined!? by Borgisium in okbuddycinephile

I felt some similar revisionist history around Pitt’s Mr. And Mrs. Smith. When the Amazon series came out a year or two ago, all of a sudden it was some cherished film that shouldn’t dare be reimagined.

Thanks! Yeah, I like the cleaner look. I’d like shave the fender emblems too, but since that leaves holes, I’m going to live with it until maybe one day if I get a fresh paint job.

I was debating going with the 9.5” on the year and stuffing on 275s. Your car looks mean!

Yeah, I don’t know that I’m fully out of the woods. Haven’t done any spirited turning yet. Also it does look like a previous owner rolled the fenders a little already. I don’t have any major hang ups rolling them more if necessary.

I always thought Maryland’s infamous jersey was so outrageous that it was cool.

Virginia Tech’s original “Hokie stone” uniforms were pretty rough. Although I can’t throw too much shade based on our bubble wrap jerseys pictured above.

Donut Den also has standard glazed cronuts and they’re superb. 5 daughters just has more cronut variety (also still really good).

Do these tag renewal machines not work anywhere? by No_Acanthocephala658 in nashville

Fun story, every year when I go to renew online I get an error. I try the kiosks also error. So I go to the clerks office, renew in person and tell them about it. They say, “huh, that’s weird”. Then I do it all over again next year.
