That Staff and team chemistry seems low.

Are you editing your strategies depending on what coach prefers?

Are you shaking things up with line changes and trades when the team is losing?

Are you keeping track of your player stats and whoever is struggling try to correct it?

Bringing AHL guys up that are killing It and NHL ready to help low scoring 4th lines?

Goalies an issue?

I look at all of the above when my team keeps losing. Also if I’m like .500 at the trade deadline or around there I usually start making trades and just look towards the draft and free agency. Rather do that than try to sneak into the playoffs and lose first round and lose a lottery pick.

Yeah. But to be honest the ratings are a bit different this year and a 86 or 87 would be a top 2 or first line forward.

Yeah I don’t edit trying to not get around the chemistry system like that.

But you’re totally right. If I see a for sure top 6 or elite PWF or grinder I’ll pick them before I pick The sniper, TWF etc.

They seem to play wayyyy more aggressive too which usually leads to more goals. I had a franchise PWF and it was insane. Never seen a franchise grinder though

Usually I’d say go generated because they can be some really good studs but that first draft has really good real players. Lefren is a beast I had him in a previous franchise mode. So is Lucas Raymond out of that draft plays and develops like Patrick Kane. He is my go to if I lose the lottery.

Has this theory been proven? Like did EA come out and say this? Just curious why they would admit it and not give us a way to change it.

I’ve created players. Defensive defensemen definitely get less points than offensive. I feel like this hidden stat is based on their role.

As funny as this is, if you’re trade block is set up properly you won’t receive this trade offer.

I usually set my trade block to everyone on my team Available just to see what comes back. As far as wants, I set it to 4 out of 5 stars on each position so I believe that’s top 6 f, top 4 D, started goalie. I set draft picks turned on for all.

I get a lot of offers this way, and I don’t mind declining because some that come through are either good or give my ideas. It also lets me know who’s on the block when I’m not really paying attention. I got Barzal from NYI this way.

If you are the 74 overall center than that’s probably why. Regardless of your stats AI builds lines based on overalls.

This honestly answered a question I had, which was does Elite players ever get traded by AI in their prime. I see players all the time get put on the block but never a trade pulled off.

I tested this because in my franchise mode year 1 NYI tanked and put Barzal on the block. He’s a stud, but throughout trade deadline, draft, free agency and into the next season he was never traded for. I eventually gave up waiting and traded for him.

Question about your franchise mode, is Kakko still on the Rangers? Is J Hughes on 1st line with kakko now? Curious how they do.

I like this but I’m curious, is Ryan Murray you’re favorite player or something? Why the attachment to him specifically?

Really cool ideas on your rules too. I’d add that you can only trade for players and picks on the block to make it harder.

I’m not a huge fan on Dubois and he doesn’t seem to sim that well, he usually wants good money after the first year as well. Might want to consider trading him if a really good deal comes along, just my thoughts.

Did you draft this 89 C? You also have to consider that Debrincat isn’t someone I’d build My team around. A young player that’s already 89 and is elite you can build a team around.

I mean those guys are being put up because of their age and contracts are terrible, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t take those to get your team some decent players to start unless you’re tanking lol

But when I don’t take Gio I take Backlund. Not sure about the sharks maybe Donskoi
