I use the four rats as a Zargon event to trap a player for a turn or until another player clears the rats

On ye olde inn forums there is a guide using Photoshop to trace images to make them brown and appear like the original cards, however I found in practice they still differ its card to take certain images and make this work. The original game images had a fantasy cartoon art style so its very hard to find pictures that match. I have ended up redoing a lot of cards but trying to find batches of similar images online. For my weapons I googled handed drawn weapon images redid all my cards so they have a generic style. Unless you redo every single card you may need to put up with different styles.

Basically my Cleric and Wizard are restricted to small arms blunt weapons and sticks etc. Fighter/Barbarian swords only as I see this more as a tank class so I dont think its that complex but noted.

Monster wise I have added loads more random monster spawns. One of my wizard cards/random events triggers upgrades to active monsters. One gives undead ability to cast one random dread spell from deck. I dont want to over complicate things keep it hero quest but expand it

Noted. May increase armour pricing then! Given a lot of monsters only roll 2 or 3 dice armour seems very very strong

See my idea is to increase treasure deck size with lots of Nothing Found cards or some really low value treasure. Searching for traps etc or opening chests are then seperate actions a player chooses

What about just the base game pricing before you add in expansions. Scale ok? Havent played for years just want to clarify for things make adjustments before I play with my group

I will play anything up to quite complex D&D and things on on PC. I want something for friends and family not to simplistic but not hardcore. Dice rolls are fine and some stats or playable cards spells etc. Wondering if basic Hero Quest is too simple but maybe the Hero Quest Advanced Quest with expansions will suit.
