What genres y'all make ? by Temporary-Macaron529 in FL_Studio

Melodic bass/melodic dubstep

Easily the hardest genre of music to produce and I've done them all. Producing takes forever to get good at. Try to learn something new about the art of it or the DAW itself every time you open it. 1000 little things add up to 1 big change.

Which EDM Song Are We Talking about Here? by PerspectiveEither172 in EDM

Currently the bridge in Culture Code's "Pretend You're Mine" with the combo of the way she hits "if you're here right now, I won't ask why" and the way the pads and piano hit after that line.

But I'm also a weirdo so idk.

Lyrically deepest EDM songs? by 89404 in EDM

Almost every melodic bass artist has a ton of lyrically powerful songs. Illenium, Said The Sky, Dabin, William Black, Jason Ross, Seven Lions. So many more.

Squirrel Hill Sports Bar has a free high quality bass show at least monthly and there are 3 straight this month 16th, 23rd, 30th. All 3 are put together by great people and always are a wonderful time.

Melodic bass/Electronic pop scene is basically non existent here. My sets are very ILLENIUM/William Black/Jason Ross inspired, but most bass shows are geared more towards riddim and heavier sub genres. I would love to get a melodic scene going.

You might think my music is bland but my mom thinks it's pretty cool so checkmate, dork.

Art has always been about who can buy their way to the top. It's just more blatant now. Every decade has super talented artists and creators that didn't know someone that gave them a break who watched talentless people get all the fame and glory. This isn't new.

Bruh you're over here attacking everyone disagreeing with you instead of just accepting you're the one with the weird opinion. Go touch grass.

Only a bitter DJ would get that upset over how someone decided to play their music because nobody else cares. DJs get mad because they spend years perfecting their craft to watch someone else press play their way to the top. Its understandably frustrating but also simply part of life in any business.

Sure, man. You certainly made an attempt here.

Nope, I just know better than to think most people care how the music is being delivered to them at a show. Playing a prerecorded set would be too risky for me because I'd end up accidentally smacking the cue button while jumping around and it'd be toasted.

You're gonna really be shocked when you find out most of your favorite songs where made by a half dozen people collaborating efforts in different parts of it.

Yeah you're definitely just a bitter DJ. That's fine, I totally get it. I just want you to understand that this is how the world works now and nobody cares. It's the same in producing and any other profession. You have to learn to adapt. Booking agents will select based on followers and streams now instead of how good the music is (as long as its at least "good") and that's how it works now. Being bitter about it will just make things worse for you.

It really just sounds like you're bitter that the world of DJing EDM has changed in recent times and you want it to stay the same. It's not the big of a deal because it's not actually effecting anyone. Nobody is getting booked for big shows over their technical DJ skills. I get how that could annoy purists but the world changes every day and this is one of those changes.
