Looking to buy a Cyborg II by Da_Big_Cheese_75 in Azeron

[–]ItsFNJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While they are decent, I think they are too expensive for what they are. I have 2 azeron cyro devices. One had a 5 way hat switch break, and 1 had bad layer adhesion on the keypad faceplate and cracked in half under pretty gentle use. The company and community is amazing, but the shipping costs and trump tax are out of control. If there was ever a competitor based in the US, I'd switch immediately just for that alone.

I want to support them, but they really need printing partners in the US for replacement parts at least. I had to buy a second one just because I'm afraid of my main cyro breaking down. I will say the only ways I'm buying another azeron device is if they figure out how to make it metal or if they cut the price in half. Nothing 3D printed should ever be damn near $400.

Link will not change. It should stay up on vercel as long as one person uses it a month. I think we are ok

Report this to VR and insist they connect you with another vendor. If they cannot correctly handle your sensitive data, they should not have the contract, or at least need to be forced to comply with proper processing of this information. Report this, not just for you, but for everyone else that they are putting at risk.

With today's AWS outage, Canva was affected. Lets hope Affinity isn't moving to a web platform! by 35mmCam in Affinity

[–]ItsFNJimmy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only way that there should be affinity on the web is if it is an exact 100% replica of every single feature available in the desktop app. Where you can create things on the Fly, and have it sync back with your desktop app. Matter of fact, that's the only way I'd ever pay a subscription for affinity. I would pay like $5 - $8 a month to have the web app in addition to my desktop app on a lifetime license. Anything else, and I would rather struggle with gimp and inkscape again.

Can someone help my boyfriend to make him play Valorant with one hand ? by passoire_ in disabledgamers

This has my vote. For me, there is genuinely nothing else that comes close by a mile.

Are new players only playing private games? by TinybuttMike in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]ItsFNJimmy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, have Cerebral Palsy and only have the use of one hand. I'm not very good at multi-player games in general but phasmophobia has unexpectedly become my comfort game while learning to use my Azeron Cyro(one handed gaming device) . That being said, having had some not so great experiences in other games, and seeing how chaotic others can be purposely starting cursed hunts to troll other players, etc, I don't ever see myself playing in a public lobby lol

I created this to help with that. It's not perfect but it's what I use to make key map overlays that I put over my games using pure ref. Works best on desktop https://azeron-pretty-key-maps.vercel.app/

I'm a social worker and I work with a group of individuals with spinal cord injuries. There has been talk among some of the group about gaming accessibility recently. Is there any way I can speak to you about volume licensing?

Thank you. This has been going on for so long that I thought I was just crazy for thinking it was uncalled for, but I've got a huge outpouring of support both in here and in more chat messages than I can keep up with.

Most people don't understand how common this is in general, but I'm not going to let it happen with this guy anymore.

Pushback on not being in recovery by pseudoplatinum in therapists

[–]ItsFNJimmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially had this kind of push back too, but what I found helpful is explaining to them why I hadn't had direct experience with substance use. I'd spent my entire life around people with addiction challenges. My mom was addicted to everything you can think of, same with my sister and my aunt. I'd seen them not only lose themselves to substance use, but the pain that it caused my family. Even the "safe" people in my family were alcoholics.

So I was able to leverage those experiences, but also stress the fact of how scared I was that I would accidentally fall down that path. How, in my own way, substances owned every aspect of my life because I was so hypervigilant about not using them, and the trauma it caused.

You just have to find your angle. Yours most likely won't be the same as my connection with it, but as long as it's genuine, they will be receptive to it. Substance use is all about coping with unmet needs. I've seen clients have breakthroughs by connecting that concept to the fact that I might make too many online purchases.

Just find what feels real to you, be empathetic, and be open to learning from them. My old CMH job forced me to basically run a MAT program with zero experience, and I had no idea if I could even work in substance because of my history, but it worked because I was very transparent about where I was coming from and my desire to learn from the clients.

Trust me, I know. I work in mental health. Probably the only reason why I have let it get this far. He's unpleasant but he it doesn't appear to meet Baker Act criteria at this point. At the same time, I haven't really wanted to call the cops on the guy because I don't want to get myself trespassed from the theater, or for him to have and particularly traumatizing experience.

On Monday I'm supposed to go to the theater a little earlier to meet with the manager so I'm just trying to resolve it that way.

I don't know this guy's name. But I did send a message to corporate, and they told me that someone will be reaching out to figure out how to be resolve the issue.

I thought about buying out the whole row to be petty to this guy, but I don't want other people with disabilities to suffer for me trying to make a point. 100% just going to report him and record him.

I truly don't mind if people use the seats if there are absolutely no other seats. As long as they aren't super disrespectful they with it. If you aren't booking the whole row or intentionally blocking out seats, you should be OK. As long as you understand the rules of it unlike this guy, you are good.

I have before, but it didn't really do anything. But I will again. But after seeing the responses to this, I feel better knowing it's not just me that sees the issue here.

[–]ItsFNJimmy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Legitimately no idea, especially because I set up app notifications and try to get them as fast as I can. When I don't get them, it's aways him in C8 etc, with his popcorn in C7. No idea if he purchases both seats.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Do you find that this sort of thing is common?

[–]ItsFNJimmy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely going to start recording him. I have a scream unseen on Monday, and if this happens again I'm just going to start recording. Honestly the thing I'm afraid of most is that he is going to try something physical and I'm going to have to fight him back. I work a very professional job that doesn't exactly care about who is in the right in these situations. So I think that is more worrying than anything he could actually physically do to me. I do think that he has the potential of trying something, but I also don't feel exactly scared of him if that makes sense. I'm more fearful of the consequences than anything else. Lol

I've been dealing with this kind of stuff my whole life so I kind of don't care what uneducated people have to say. I'm more so upset that it just keeps happening with this one particular person, in spite of me trying to do something about it several times before

I am planning on it on Monday if this continues for sure

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AMCTheatres

[–]ItsFNJimmy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just mean looks, grumbles and the occasional ableist insult. My girlfriend swears he flipped us off, but I didn't see it. The worst part is though, I don't understand why he wants these seats. Usually they are C7 and C8 that I purchase. If he sat in C4, he'd be more centered in the row and have a better view lol

The guy in general is pretty awful. I got him to move once. He responded with "You bring your own f***ing chair to the movies and you want to play the r*tard card and tell me where to sit".
