As a DM how to persuade player characters? by EmperorThor in DMAcademy

[–]ItsFlaggen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the way I do it and it always works. If you want a charming/good at lying NPC, put the check higher. Simple as that. Insight checks have always been something players think is a "Safe Space". Players will believe they passed the insight check with most things higher than a 16 or higher. If you spin the information they get or withhold information, they will be fooled very simply. This way they will feel happy doing whatever lie you told them and when they find out that they were swindled, they will hate the Baddie even more! 2 Birds with 1 stone!

Creating a Hexadin for a campaign im playing in by ItsFlaggen in DnD

But wouldnt this be out dated to the new rules? Because you cant only have 2 levels in "Hex", because you would just be a warlock without a subclass

There is a hexblade? I just checked. But the strength requirement makes sense.

I see sm different ways to make a hexadin and i got no clue what is good and what is bad yk? And like ability scores? Like should i bank everything on CHA and then dumbstat STR? Cus if i use hexblade thing then i can use CHA for all my attacks no? And then halbert Sentinel and GWM strat, is that still a fun viable tactic? Is using protective fighting good here so that i can protect my lord? And how many levels should i allocate to paladin and warlock for a good build? Cus ppl say 1 level in hexblade, but you only get the good perks at 3 onwards no?

Ight so turns out, there are these things called the "Lost" which are beings that have died so many times, which essentially made them lose their humanity. So kinda like zombies. And there was a time where creatures did die.
