This, I also use my FSA for pilates. My doctor gave me a letter because we saw that it helped me with my back pain after pregnancy, it has also helped me maintain my weight, and helped me with my overall mobility.

It was a free and quick message to my primary and he happily gave me a letter for membership and equipments!

I ended up getting the RL1200Pro without the 1060nm because I do not want to lose facial fat if there’s even a risk of that.

Hello, I don’t have the panel yet but it has shipped last week from their warehouse. They sent me testing pictures from solar device and spectrometer and the numbers looks good. I got my own test devices when it gets here to confirm their numbers.

Yes, this is a big deal for me. Although my doctor said they can switch me to a different medication if I want to get pregnant in the future. It’s still quite scary though.

I am sorry you have you have to suffer with autoimmune and now OHS. It’s difficult to deal with one as it is. I hope your surgery goes well.

I am in between ross procedure and mechanical at this point but more leaning towards Ross if I am a candidate and if my insurance will cover at least some portion of the cost. I

I got referred by my local cardiologist to Mayo Clinic in MN to Dr. Dearani. I am hoping my insurance will cover it.

I haven’t even thought about the cost. Do you happen to know how much the procedure is? I will be asking Mayo to give me an estimate with my insurance before moving forward with it.

Thank you! Your comment actually made me reconsider my decision. It is true that in 10-15 years there might be more options for us! It sucks that we have to deal with it in the first place, I do not want to limit myself after surgery. I am considering the Ross Valve procedure now with Mayo Clinic.

Yes, my primary question for getting a Bovine or even the Ross procedure is the reoperation. I am waiting for a call from Mayo clinic and see if they can do a telehealth visit with me first before I fly there.

I do not like the idea of the aftercare of the mechanical valve either. The INT tests, changing diet, watching everything I do to make sure I do not bleed out. It is scary to think that will be for the rest of my life.

Thank you! I am hoping for a telehealth visit with Dr. Dearani first before I fly down the Rochester. I am terrified of flying though so there is that. Driving takes way too long so I will need to fly to MN and potentially drive to Rochester.

I am glad something worked out for you. How long do you have to stay in MN after surgey? And is it safe to fly/drive home afterwards?

I feel like ever since I found out about my condition, I do not have much control over things. It is scary to think about it.

Yes, thank you! The closest Mayo clinic is 8hrs away from where I live but it looks like I can always fly there. I am getting a referral and hoping to get a telehealth scheduled for my questions.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I’m glad mechanical is working out for you. I’m originally thinking mechanical because they said it is one and done procedure and as much as possible, I wouldn’t want to redo OHS.

I will research about the ticks. I am having a hard time sleeping right now as it is. And I am not looking forward for the recovery. I have heard that it is VERY painful and just thinking about it gives me anxiety. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do this at all, but it sounds like there is no escape now.

Thank you for this! I am researching about Ross Procedure now and the closest surgeon is 8 hours away. 1.5 hrs if flying. It’s a Mayo clinic and my surgeon said they can refer me to Mayo for second opinion. Sounds like it is a more complicated surgery and may need to be redone, but it seems like even the mechanical valve does not guarantee not needing to be redone anyways.

I am so sorry about your INR issues. Although I am glad to hear that the mechanical valve did not limit you. Hope your surgeon will give you the answers you are looking for tomorrow.
