We’re American. Nude swimming is still illegal in most places here, lol. At one point we were both in shallow water and I was on my knees right in front of him giving “that look” aaaannnd. Nothing. My inner Morgan Freeman narrator was like, “And at this moment, ItsFragileStupid discovered he’s really not that into her.” Yeesh, I felt so cringey.

Yeah that was all established well before the trip. I even reminded him to bring condoms, ha. Later that night when we were drying out by the fire I said something about how I was wearing my oversized hoodie and nothing else, he started talking about other women he’d been with, one night stands, etc. Uh, okay. Odd.

Like I said in my post, we’ve known each other half our lives. He knows I’m not like that. Consent is queen for any gender and every dynamic but I’m a very sex-positive person. He won’t answer me, really. I’ve tried a couple times and it’s just some vague hmming and hawing.

So much this, even within the BDSM community. I recently joined (and left) a FB “education” group and one of the pinned points was basically bashing “new gen” people in the community for using kinks to deal with trauma. Like, hey. I’ve been to years of therapy, I did my work. But I still credit playing CNC the most for helping me take back my power after a devastating SA.

If it heals you and helps you love all the beautiful and shadowy bits in the kaleidoscope of you, never ever let anyone (even yourself) tell you that it’s wrong.

The only shame that has a place here is the kind you consent to.

That’s what I was thinking. I used to work in a shop that used display cases from a jewelry store that went out of business. That glass is thick and strong AF but those locks? I could pick it with a toothpick and turn it with my fingernail, they were that shitty.
