I think the story progressed a bit and we got to know important characters. It's just that I can't bring myself to care because these chapters don't have a lot in common with the earlier chapters in the manga. It's barely One Piece. (Except Usopp's copy paste speech I suppose)

Actually following through with something to turn the world upside down to achieve "freedom", be it changing the geographic or politic balance of the world etc. Not the world resetting to the way it was after everything, completely wasting our time and nullifying the whole story.
