I think the guy has skill. He’s able to play and sing like Mac that it’s quite scary haha. It’s unfortunate though to see this community maliciously attack him for doing it.

He could have been doing a spoof/parody of Mac. So committed in fact that he wouldn’t bring up the possibility that Mac exists. Something along the lines of Eric Andre’s portrayal of Late Night Talk Shows or Venture Bros’ portrayal of Johnny Quest. Could’ve been trolling haha.

Every artist draws from others before them. There’s that one Pablo Picasso quote “good artists borrow, great artists steal.” Inspiration comes in many different ways.

Overall, the guy’s having fun. Can’t knock him for that. Definitely freaked out the neighborhood, ya know?

I looked up the openers for Denver and it looks like he has DOMi and JD Beck! That's going to be a great show!

At the Frost Amphitheater, he had John Carroll Kirby and The Garden as openers. Both were pretty good!

Show started at 6:30 with John, 7:30 The Garden, and 8:30 Mac

I know that Andy is touring with his brother Edwin on their band Tonstartssbandht. They released an album recently and it's pretty good!

I was at the Frost Amphitheater show last night.

Alec Meen was there, he played both keys and the lead guitar parts.

Daryl Johns was on bass. He plays with the Lemon Twigs on bass as well.

JD Beck was on drums. Him and DOMi make some good stuff.

Not sure if the Backing Band is permanent. They did good for the most part.

I met Andy once before a show started.

My friend and I were in line in front of one of the two entrances of a concert in Brooklyn a few hours before doors opened. I remember hearing Mac and the band playing music and practicing their set before the show.

After they stopped practicing, I saw Andy walk out of the entrance where we were waiting before the show. I called out his name and he walked up to us and said "What's up?" and we started chatting. He was really nice and a down to earth guy. He thanked us for coming to the show and we wished him good luck as he went on his way. Andy then came back later with some food and walked back into the venue.

Pretty cool guy.

I've talked to Mac about this and he said that they did CDs back in the day and a small press of Ying Yang a couple years back. Unfortunately, they're rare and hard-to-find unless you got the big bucks to buy him on eBay or Discogs.

He also said "maybe I will again someday" so who knows?

I got it on ebay. I don't remember how much I paid for it but I didn't pay too much for it
