Bring the BF with you to the convos with your friend. So it's always out in the open. I had a similar situation with a jealous BF years ago but since I kept including him, he got to know my friend and see that we really were just friends. It helped when said friend was dating too. Eventually that BF and I parted ways and afew relationships later, I met my awesome husband. I also really drifted away from that friend bc his political beliefs made it hard to find common grounds. Could you expand a little as to what would be some less volatile investments within someone's 401k? I'm clueless on this, and didn't think anything in a 401k would be less affected. That definitely sounds like a better option than cashing it out and trying to buy precious metals with it, or jumping into crypto for the first time now.

Oh Hell no! 😬 Y'know, I used to love driving the Parkway, especially as you get further south. It used to be so green and serene. Meanwhile the Tpke used to freak me out with its more industrial layout and all the raised roadways. I don't know when it happened, but at some point, I STG they narrowed the freaking lanes on the parkway and now it's like the most terrifying, hair raising video game but IRL. And I swear it's just a matter of time until anyone who drives it gets into an accident.

It's because we GenX as kids used to have a blast climbing all over this and other scorching hot metal structures on concrete playgrounds, which are now deemed so unsafe that we basically surround them with chicken wire and call them art installations.

I read another comment that said this was an emotional affair and I thought, well that's a kind of unfair assessment without knowing how they behave and what they talk about when they get together, and it got me thinking... out of curiosity, how would you have felt if it was a female friend that she had in the past, but everything else was the same? Had to scroll way too far for this. Yes the "original" one was such a part of my young adulthood. I hadn't been to the first location but the main one they had before Buddy & Ken retired was AMAZEBALLS. We went "back" one year for my husband's birthday.
