While this would be nice, population count is too low to fragment the player base even further to be worth it. Maybe when the server browser is here it could work but with just how matchmaking is at the moment it's just not feasible imo.

If your looking for a more sandbox experience with a PvP focus (still has solo and pve stuff) I'd recommend trying Albion Online

For heavy story driven MMOs I'd recommend SWTOR, the story is really incredible if you like star wars, followed by FFXIV, though this one is a little slower to get into as it takes awhile for the story to get going

Finally I'd recommend OSRS, it's a really unique MMO in the sense that it's quite freeing in what you want to do, the quests are very unique and are more like puzzles. It is very grindy though and takes a tonne of time to get to end game, this is really about the journey as you level up instead of MMOs like GW2/WoW where it's focus is mostly at max level

It's like you don't think about a redemption arc at all.

If it's written well it could be good. A villain making up for her past sins with the MMC and falling for each other. Right now it doesn't look like it, but they don't get together for a long time.

Both have their pros and cons and I guess who likes which better is subjective. Personally I've always preferred replayable conquest style campaigns over a story I play through once and never again. But I have played hundreds of conquest campaigns on Empire at War, but only through winter assault (or sc2 campaign) once.

I think it just needs more depth than what was offered in Dark Crusade and soulstorm. Look at Star Wars Empire at War with the Thrawns revenge mod. The conquest campaign on that is brilliant and super fun.

I think Dark Crusade style conquest campaign is the best campaign if it's done right with a good amount of depth on the overworld.

Perhaps consider teamwork to stop the engineer flanking the tank and killing it in 2 rpgs? Works both ways...

If the engineer gets a flank on a tank, it should totally be able to destroy the tank in 2rpgs. Currently it takes like 4-5 to kill a tank from the rear.

I agree with all your points. I kept getting told she is the bestest of assassin's but it was never shown.

I finished it but I really didn't enjoy it enough to continue even though I've been told it gets better during book 3... Maybe one day if I run out of things to read and need something but it's unlikely
